Wins us more corners than balls in tbh.

Yeah probably does. Just never seems to manage to hit the by line at all and the odd time he’s does he just smashes a hit and hope and it either goes for a corner or out of play.

Maybe winning corners is a game plan now we have Turnball to deliver.

It would be Taylor over Laxalt for me. Laxalt’s positioning is absolutely wild and he’ll leave the rest of the team hopelessly exposed.

I thought it would’ve improved much more by now but it’s just not there at all.

No surprise that despite his shortcomings Taylor still gets more assists, simply by being well positioned offensively to offer width. Laxalt has come to Celtic to play CM/upfront.

I don't think there's massive amounts between them tbh, either one is a case of needs must. Toss of a coin for me.

Diego's stats literally show he's more solid at the back than Taylor.

They show he's a better 1v1 defender/intercepting. But positionally he's all over the place.

I thought we'd won a watch getting Laxalt, and he was impressive in his first few games. But he's now no better than Taylor, for me. In fact I'd probably lean more towards Taylor starting, and I don't rate him in the slightest.

I would go with Laxalt but he can have terrible positioning at times. Got passed around in the last hun game for their second goal and it was a criticism i made at the time on here.

It’s undeniable Laxalt is a better footballer but it’s equally undeniable his positioning in our team is wild.

It might not affect his own stats directly but the rest of the team, particularly the back line, gets dragged all over the place covering for him.

Most worryingly of all, McGregor has to constantly stay back and cover for Laxalt, which is a very poor trade off since Laxalt offers almost nothing offensively except a poor cross, poorer positioning and lots of effort.

Excellent 1 on 1 defender with tremendous energy to bomb on..

Absolutely hopeless in the final third..

Yeah is final ball yet again isn’t great his link up can be good though. He gets us up the pitch well but yeah final third not great he needs a winger in front of him. Defensively I thought he was class

Offers more than Taylor. Braver on the ball. Gives more going forward. Final ball is dodgy but he's the best option we have.
