Start with learning yes,no,on and up, that should be enough to get most of the way in a training session to start imho...

Does the boy think we play in the English premier league? He mentions he’s gonna speak to zlatan and Suarez about “British” football but I highly doubt either of those two know much about us or our league! Hahah must have found out about us wanting him late too with him saying he was happy to hear ntcham played for us (obviously also meaning he didn’t know our squad or club)

Im sure hes not mistaking livingston for liverpool or aberdeen for arsenal:39: and I dont see the big problem him asking suarez or zlatan for advice about british football? And as for him finding out late about us being in for him, he has already mentioned he heard our offer the week before the window closed (well before any media got wind of it) and we also tried to sign him last summer aswell as per lennys comments.

Ntcham Assist for Ajer goal in our 5-0 win against Ross county. Listen to Ntcham speaking french to Ajer “mon frère” as they celebrate (1 min in)

the feet do the talking, football is a universal language. I’d say it’s safe to assume he has a basic understanding of English too. Montivido like any other South American capital will have a mix of Spanish & Portuguese (Argentina to the south Brazil to the north )but schools usually make it compulsory to learn English. In saying all that, I’ve yet to meet someone in all my years that I can’t communicate at a basic level, no matter what country or situation I’d find myself in.

I’d say that translator was there to allow him to express his thoughts as he means it rather than speaking broken English. Also it’s Quite hard to understand weegie accents at the best of times, half those reporters asking the questions would need a translator outside of Glasgow

I don’t see a “problem” with anything he’s said. Just find it funny! Haha if we were in for him before but he didn’t know ntcham plays for us until he arrived he hasn’t even looked at us play or our squad! Hahah happy he’s here but

When I first came to France and started playing for my local team I thought I was doing really well and people were saying "c'est bien" (it's good), but they were actually saying "ça vient" which is their version of "man on"..... :56:

Seriously though, it doesn't take long to pick up the basic football terms and the game itself is universal.

So true mate. A player only truly knows what it feels like to play for Celtic until that happens but sadly i cant see that happening this season. I probably feel worst for Duffy, it has been his dream to play for Celtic since a wee boy but will not get the chance to play in front of a packed paradise. Unless of course he stays for another season but its unlikely.

Knowing Lenny as we all do, its quite likely Taylor will start rather than throwing Laxalt into this game. Ive seen new signings being thrown into big European games or games v the huns and looking totally lost which has led to them being at fault for conceding a goal.

I know its the in thing at the moment to have a go at Taylor but the wee man can defend its the going forward part that is his downfall. In this game the defending part of his duties is vital, some people are getting carried away and jumping on the 'Taylor is horrendous' band wagon in a sheep like fashion. I wouldnt be having any major worries if Taylor started he is capable of being solid defensively against the huns.

Its a big call for Neil Lennon whether he plays Laxalt or not, how he shapes up in training and the bounce games will most likely make his mind up. Will be interesting to see what happens, a lot of decisions to be made all over the pitch not just at full back or wing back depending on what formation we go with.

Very good points tbf but yeah I’m hoping he goes with Laxalt tbh cause that’s why we’ve wanted a lwb so badly to allow us to play the formation/style we want with really attacking wing backs but like you said very big game to be thrown into.whatever the decision I’m buzzing to see this lad in action

It probably won't be the usual mad frantic start you usually get in these games with the crowd missing so mibbe not as a big risk throwing him in as it normally would have been.

Yeah I agree it will be great to see the guy in the hoops. Just not sure if Lenny will start him, I can see the reasons why he wouldnt. Coming from South American and Italian football he will have to be switched on to the pace of Scottish football, very different from what he will be used to and will need to be careful not to be caught out, especially in this game. I dont have a massive issue with Taylor defensively, he faced the huns many times while he was with kilmarnock and dont remember him being destroyed, theres no reason to think he will be while playing for Celtic. Although you couldnt blame the guy if his confidence is shot to pieces, lets hope he doesnt look on social media too much, hes taken a * of a kicking, mostly by his Celtic supporters!

Here’s hoping Lennon doesn’t throw him into the huns game not knowing his team mates (the snake had a habit of pitching players into games they weren’t ready for), we should win comfortably without him
