    Parent clubs can't place stipulations prohibiting loan players from not playing against them eg. Roberts v Man City 16/17 and Bangura v Us in 17/18 (playing for Elfsborg)

    A warning sign if our EL opponents loan us a player. That being said, he probably is a wing back. On FM 20 (I know!) I started a save with Milan a month ago, and he looks to be ill suited to a 4 man back line, if one looks at his attributes. 3-5-2 is another matter.

    I don’t think it is. Neither of our seasons will be defined by our games against one another. They have a player they want to offload, we have a position we want to fill. He’s not getting game time so they’re not losing anything.

    Seems like a lot of folk are judging him based on his time at Milan. Yes it ain’t quite worked out for him but that’s the case with lots of players , if you have watched him during the World Cup & his time at Genoa he clearly offers us something no doubt about it

    Easier for Portuguese clubs to target them. There’s the advantage of Brazilians being able to speak their own language and living in a very similar culture. Spanish is a lot closer to Portuguese too and I’m sure that the Portuguese league is viewed as a gateway to La Liga by many. Also, I think Portuguese immigration law makes it easier for Brazilians to get work there, if I’m not mistaken.

    That being said, we have switched to a 3-5-2, and we don't have a LWB. So, a player with a decent reputation, coming from a country where 3-5-2 is common looks like a sensible piece of business. I guess negotiating with Milan either took time, or he just came to our scouts' mind recently?

    We do. Our priority is the league. Europe is a bonus.
    No idea about that. He appears to be an obvious signing for us and is clearly an upgrade on Taylor. I’m all for it.
