Did You Like McGeady Poll

There seems to be a very mixed opinion on this one. Hear a lot of people talking about him like he was arrogant and overrated, and others saying he was a great player who loved Celtic.
Personally, I liked him, perhaps more than I would have were I not an Ireland fan.

I think he was hugely underrated I think we are missing him on the wing tbh.

 

he's racking up assists for spartak right now in a more competitive league. So overrated no.

He does have an abrasive attitude on the pitch, but in the heat of the game that can happen.

 

Great talent, no getting away from that but I felt we didn't see enough of it when it mattered. Didn't really hit the back of the net as much as he should have done either. Off the field, he was an arrogant little * though.

 

Spot on, poorer team without him. Never understood those who booed the guy or shouted abuse at him, guy loved playing for his club and hurt just as much being a fan and playing in a team that wasn`t doing well (last season).

a talented player though a bit petulant at times, i didnt really mind his cocky arrogance, a player like him thrives with that kind of personality

i always got the feeling that he got annoyed because much of the pressure was on his shoulders; when he didnt perform the team didnt seem to, ceratinly last season anyway.

i do miss aiden though, hear he's not been too bad at Spartak so can only wish him the best of luck

and who knows with any luck he might come back to celtic a better, wiser player someday!

 

Why, because you think it's obvious that everyone loves him? If you look at the poll results that's clearly not the case. I liked him, but not everyone did, and I was interested to see what proportion of the support did or didn't.

 

i would never think any celtic player is a bawbag (unless he joins rangers)

 

I used to really like him but after the Ross County game, I went off him big time because of his terrible attitude.

Very inconsistent player who never ever lived up to his potential at the club.

very good player but after the milan game few years back thought we had found a gem never quite lived up to that still miss him tho at least i can see him play for the bhoys in green

 

One of my favourite players of recent times. Seemed like an ok guy off the park too, he was nice to me when I briefly met him outside the stadium. Some say he's petulant but a lot of young guys are.

 

What gave you that impression about him?

 

everyone who hated him off the pitch must have obviously be very close to him to know him so well...

i do respect this guy despite he signed for our footbal foes this guy makes the game of his new team much stronger i don't estimate the players due to the teams where they play but due to how usefull they are for their teams
