As the title suggests it's sound business and we are becoming very good at it thanks to a plan put in place by the great Tommy Burns. Tam was a visionary and could see the potential there for us to become a club revered for development , he saw it as a business model for us to operate at our max potential.

Right now we are operating incredibly well , we have 3 academy players who have fulfilled their potential to become 1st team regular players. Then comes the low cost low risk youngsters such as Ajer , Dembele and Rogic who also have became 1st team players and cost us 1.5 max and now would command 45-60m potentially which is staggering to think about and speaks volumes about how well we are at developing youngsters. Then we have the high outlay high potential gambles of Ntcham and Edouard , proven youth players from wealthy clubs who cannot offer 1st team football to players of serious potential , they become disgruntled with the loans and lack of opportunity. They seek clubs who can offer them a platform to develop as 1st team players in a great environment like here , ultimately they will move on ( some not all ) to the riches of the EPL most likely.

So we have developed KT , MacGregor , Forrest , Ajer , Rogic , Dembele , Ntcham and Edouard from youth , gamble or potential into our first team for a grand total of 12-13 m yet what would they command in the transfer market? it would be a staggering amount.

Sound business indeed , thanks Tam.
