    No chance not 30k a week , would be talking 10/15 with the clubs that was looking at him , he has gone for a reported 30k a week he will get a decent sign on fee as he is a free and then cash on top of that again for moving and living cost.

    3million move for him really .

    Agreed, he was more interested in getting barred from nite clubs than putting in the effort needed to make it at Celtic.

    He's going to China because nobody who has a clue about football would pay his wage demands. Look at Dario Conca, a fairly talented footballer but has an unremarkable career yet he is one of the highest paid footballers in the world because he was willing to move to China. China is the new place where mercenary footballers go.

    its an absalute illusion that teams low in the premier league pay average players upwards of 30k, and unless he was gunna join one of the top guns (i dont even think hes good enough for them prem) then i seriously doubt he would better 30 k in the prem.

    Another thing... Anyone blaming Strachan for "derailing" Riordan's career needs to wise up. Riordan is * and his attitude was boggin, everyone knew Strachan took no *. Maybe he should have been more professional and less of a walking ASBO.
