    Hello fellas,

After starting the thread i often read through it and sympathize with all that is posted. What helps me is the following: a regime, making sure i feel clean and smart (even if popping to shop), cut back on the drink, exercise (part of a routine), set goals. Just a few that help me.

Some great people with great advice on this forum and i hope those who suffer even a little can push through it!

    Jt

One thing I do know that works, and can vouch for, is meditation. It's quick, it's simple and it's very, very beneficial.

I highly recommend checking out this website and its associated app:

Just thought I would add a wee continuation about a subject that got discussed in this thread http://www.talkceltic.net/forum/showthread.php?t=147782&page=6 about Ayahuasca and plant medicines used for the treatment of mental illnesses.

Anyway I watched this video the other day and I can pretty much mirror with what this guys state of mind was/is and his general outlook on life, I'm pretty sure there will be a few people on here that will feel same.

I know it's a long video but if your searching for something then I guess you will watch it.

I was depressed due to money worries and being unemployed and being treated like scum at the JobCentre, I didn't want to wake up because I thought what am I waking up for? I wanted to leave this place as I thought theirs bound to be something better than this you know? Weeks dragged in and the only thing getting me through the day was my little boy

It takes great motivation and patience to beat depression.

Eating well and exercising goes a * of a long way to increasing your vitality. Sleeping can be difficult, and it's important to keep your sleeping pattern as normal as possible.

Asking for help is crucial, too. Talking about things every now and then makes things loads easier. Sometimes saying something out loud makes you realise how ridiculous it sounds.

I had terrible depression when i was in High School, I was plagued with really bad acne. Then I took Roaccuntane and most of it if not all of it went away. Then I started to get my confidence back. And it was then that I realised, why did I give a *?
