CELTIC TARGET DANI FOR £2.5M SUMMER SWOOP

CELTIC have targetted £2.5m rated Deportivo La Coruna keeper Dani Aranzubia after failing to make progress on either luring Manchester City's Shay Given or landing Newcastle's Fraser Forster on a permanent deal.
Parkhead officials have already contacted the struggling Spanish side who were relegated last season and expect to receive an offer later this week for the 31 year old former international goalie.
Although they rate Aranzubia at double Celtic's valuation Deportivo are facing financial problems and want to build a war chest to aid their return to La Liga next time around.
The keeper who was watched several times by Celtic scouts last season has just one Spanish cap to his credit but became the first goalkeeper to score from open play in La Liga history in February this year when he netted with a header from a corner kick in the 95th minute during a game with UD Almeria.
