I reckon you have about a 12.3% chance of finding out where these people get their stats.....

No, it really isn't. We should be able to at least draw with a side like Legia with the players we have.

What I cannot understand for the life of me is why he dropped Griffiths and Izzy to accommodate Matthews and Berget.

Unless there was some sort of injury issue why wouldn't he just play the same side who * tanked Reyjkavik in the last round?

I mean, the only change I could see is an even fitter Anthony Stokes to put on the bench!

Maybe he thought Matthews would have been more defensively solid than Izaguirre, and Berget more consistent than Griffiths.

Well, he should've tested his theories in a friendly, first. It's not enough that he's inept, he isn't even aware of that, but blindly charges on with crazy ideas.:31:

I have faith that if given time then he will get things right, but I have to admit that I think a lot of the blame for last nights result has to fall on him.

The reality for is just now is that the biggest games of our season are in July/August. Asking a greoup of players to completely implement a new system in such a short space of time is extremely risky and IMO quite naive.

Bringing in a new signing who has barely played this year and starting him in the first 11 was extremely surprising and proved to be the wrong decision.

It's easy to criticise in hindsight but there were a lot of strange decisions last night. I believe his biggest mistake was looking for an immediate transformation of a team with very few new additions, when our biggest games are played so early in the season.

I don't think we will go through now, but I said the same thing after the first leg last year so who knows.

I still can't understand some of his decision making from yesterday. Why play Berget when he has just arrived and doesn't know how his teammates play? Why drop Izaguirre and play Matthews out of position? Why didn't he change the formation/tactics when we where getting destroyed in midfield? Why was Commons playing as centre forward?

There are more, the whole game seemed like he just doesn't get it. He said he wasn't going to change much at first and he changed so much they didn't know what they were doing.

He's barely in the door and he's already inept?.... the reason we lost in the manner we did was not tactical anyways

Yes it was. He made far too many mistakes and tried to implement a system the team were not use to.

I wish Lennon appeared as the manager again, even if for just this one game against Legia.

Against Tottenham, Berget could be tested. Vs. Legia, Griffiths or Boerrigter should've played, as they have been at the club for some time- they were the safe, sensible option.
