Scored 40 League goals in 8381 minutes, which is like 92 whole games. Some record.

I would hate to be a manager in football... talent like Turnbull would leave me forever * stumped as to what I should be doing.

Another great goal but another meh performance.

He's too slow and far too 1 footed and if we have any aspirations left to do anything in europe then he's not the answer.

That to me was Turnbull in a nutshell.

Playing in a game that was incredibly one sided. Slow on and off the ball, wasted a few attacks due to not being mobile or agile enough...then scores from 20+ yards out.

Of all the options available right now, with Reo injured, he is the one who has grabbed his chance. Bernardo and Holm not showing much.

You are correct and its one of his attributes, along with an eye for goal. However, he does have a few short comings-lack of mobility and stamina, useless at tracking back and tackling, no physicality.
Can get away with that against SPL drosh in fairness.
So now I am thinking, may be an option as a squad player, to come in between European matches against the likes of the sheep etc. I know its not improving the squad by keeping him.
Doubt he would be on high wages-10K a week maybe???
So do we offer him a new improved contract or let him walk for free??

Fun little fact - Turnbull has now scored 7 goals in the league this season.

He is currently averaging a goal every 77 minutes played.

Oh is next best at once every 101min, Palma every 122min, Kyogo every 168min and O'Riley every 187min.

People can say what they want about this guy but he's scored 7, league top scorer, and a goal every 77 mins. If he doesn't stay with us I think a EPL or Championship club looking to promote will take a punt on a freebie

Start him with Iwata and Callum against Lazio. Might as well give some "B" teamers a start. And he, on count of goals, could be a mainstay.

He’ll be delighted he never started today, or he’d have got the brunt of the anger and abuse, along with Taylor, for that performance.

It's funny, I actually thought not starting him was a mistake tbh.

I don't think he's the best player, but he gets us goals in these sort of games, and this game was crying out for him.

Yeah, things weren't coming off for Holm. He got into advanced positions, but a heavy touch let him down.

He gets a lot of unwarranted stick he shouldn't be a stater for us but he is a very useful squad player.

After the subs were made today I felt the only way we would score would be through Turnbull granted I thought it would be a strike from distance but I still think he is far more reliable than others in the squad

I was a bit surprised Holm started over him.

I think a few English Championship clubs will be interested in him in the January window. He will be fairly cheap as his contract is running down & he could help a club get promoted.

We must keep him!!! To go and get someone who contributes so many goals and assists it would cost us a fortune to replace him. How many millions to replace him??? He’s a far better bet, at this point, than any of the summer signings that play in the middle of the park. He’s also got a lot of bottle, stepping up to take that penalty on Saturday, knowing most of the support don’t rate him, took some guts. If only he wasn’t Scottish. As I said in the match thread, thankfully for Turnbull he never started the game or he’d have taken the full brunt of the support for our rotten performance.

I'd kill to see him play with Iwata and (most likely ) Calmac in some game. He's great to have, but needs covered by someone with good lungs and pace.

Stunned he has been dropped for tonights game. Id be wanting away if I were him. Bernardo has done nothing to deserve the chances he has been getting.
