Get where you are coming from but I would like to have him as back up to Hart, even a 2 year deal, and that hopefully accelerates the departures of Barkas and Bain.
I do suspect that Hart has a good season, he will want to head back down south.

If he does want to he can but Marshall shouldn't be the replacement, he simply isn't good enough and the fact he has been made 3rd choice at a dismal Derby side tells me it isn't just me who sees he is well past it. I feel there are keepers just as good in our own league who would demand less money.

Wouldn't say no to this, good goalie.

As long as it was greatly reduced wage or even a loan.

    Flog Bain and Barkas.

He’s better than Bain and Barkas so I’d take him as number 2.

I think Derby are needing him off the wage bill, so are essentially letting other clubs know he is available, as well as letting him know he isn't going to get near the team to encourage him to want to leave by saying he is third choice. I doubt it has anything to do with ability.

I'd feel much more confident looking at the bench and seeing Marshall than I would with either Bain or Barkas.

100%. As it stands Hart doesnt really have any competition for the No.1 jersey, Marshall would keep him on his toes. Marshall is getting on a bit so i dont know if he can regain the form he showed a few seasons ago but Marshall at this best is an excellent goal keeper.

Good move for him. Thought his career had stalled big time. Nice to see him get a wee break, I like the big fella and hope he does well.

David Marshall is set to sign for Hibernian following his stint at QPR.

The Scotland international goalkeeper, 37, was signed in January on a contract until the end of the season after West London Sport had revealed he was being brought in

He was signed on the understanding he would be playing in the Scottish Premiership next season, with a number of clubs north of the border having expressed an interest in him.

Marshall arrived when Seny Dieng was at the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal and back-up keeper Jordan Archer had been sidelined by injury.

QPR’s keeper woes didn’t end there – Dieng suffered a thigh injury following his return, youngster Joe Walsh was also out and Marshall’s season was ended by a hamstring injury he suffered at Nottingham Forest in March

Surprised we didn’t offer him something to help with the homegrown quota.

Being second choice at us won't get him a place in the Scotland team.

He isn't what he used to be but a decent keeper can be ten points extra, and Macey has been * so I think it's a decent signing

Dont know but get the feeling gordon strachan might be going in at hibs ! Gave marshall his debut and took him to middlesborough , hibs also looking for a more seasoned manager plus the fact hes a hibs fan. Obviously someone in the background making decisions and i think when dundee go down then it might be confirmed

He never gave Marshall his debut, he actually benched him almost as soon as he came here.

He also didn’t play for Middlesbrough :giggle1:
