I rather have Zaluska in goals than David James.

 

James is a good keeper, but I would rather go for Westwood. James is 39!!! We could MAYBE sign him for one season. Westwood is 25, irish international, he has plenty to offer.

 

Really? James is a far superior shot-stopper. James has been quality the last 3 or 4 seasons.

 

What does Zaluska have to do to get his chance? He's always been solid when he has played and i want him to be first choice! We could maybe sign a youger guy to be his understudy, but Cervi could possibly be that anyway. I think Zaluska has earned the number 1 jersey.

We only have 2 keepers at the club mate, say Zaluska gets injured, would you be confident with Cervi in goals with an unheard of reserve keeper on the bench? I certainly wouldn't.

David James is a cracking goalie! He is probably fitter than our whole squad put together and yes he is 39! Very experienced campaigner i would like to see at CP. My gripe is though I believe Zaluska has warranted the no.1 jersey and although we need another goalkeeper(backup), James will be the no.1 for sure if he signs. This will surely result in a transfer request from Zaluska.

Calamity james would cost a fortune on wages & sign on fee. He's simply not worth it.

 

Age doesn't concern me with a keeper TBH man, we wouldn't mind signing Van Der Sar and he's the same age. If James signs he'll be number 1 as he's a better keeper than Zaluska IMO.

Borucs' blunders the last 2 seasons have overshadowed James' in the last 5 or 6 seasons by a mile. He was cracking at Portsmouth last season, made many quality saves.

 

why do some people want james ? ok he is a decent keeper but zaluska is a good keeper and deserves his chance, i think we should give him a chance andsee what situation we are in, in january. we shouldn't be in a rush to sign a keeper

i think james is a good keeper and he would be a good player to get, but yes he is 39, why sell boruc who is 30 and then get in a 39 year old? i would rather get a good keeper who is alot younger than james, but i would not be to fuessed if he came in cause i think he is better than what we have

Would people stop making suggestions like "I'd rather have Enyema" "I want westwood instead" .. You can't * choose who we sign. David James would be an unbelievable signing. He's a top class professional and and an athlete when it comes to fitness. For the person who said why would we swap a 30 year old for a 39 year old - No offence to Boruc, but David James is alot fitter than him at the age of 39!!

B, James is no blunder merchant, he's doubtlessly gotten better with age and stopped making the mistakes he used to. The press is leading you by the nose if you think he's a liability
