Hmm.. really not sure bout kitsonm did have a good spell in the premiership when he was with reading but his career has stalled big time since he signed for stoke hes 30+ now also its yet another touted loan and i'd obviously prefer a bona fide signing what about beckford at leeds utd the guys a machine out of contract at the end of the season and therefore would probably be available in this window for a knock down fee i think he would do a job for us no problems also hes 24-25 nearing his peak as a striker i think he could be our boyd but actually with a football brain!!

As a loan I don't see any harm in it. It's competition and a kick up the * for our existing striker and if it doesn't work out for us then we wouldn't stand to lose much.
Not a world class striker by any means, but he's about as good as we can attract up here from the Premiership. -
ok ok but you get the drift:52: -

Not good enough for stoke says it all to me not good enough for us........And whoever said Beckford i agree...Leeds only want 1.5 Million for him but Newcastle are in the running for him.

If you see the other page about big kitson you'll realise that he can't come on loan this season as he's already played under two clubs. :bbpd:
-
Its a non-starter. Celtic have already knocked the rumour on the head.
-
celtic aint said anything, someone said he's played for two clubs but they clearly dont understand the rules :bbpd:
that only applies for permanaent transfers, loans dont count, hes already played for THREE clubs this season as a matter of fact, we could either sign him on loan or permanently and this regulation shouldnt affect the deal.
people should know what they're talking about before they open their mouths  -

I really don't think he is the answer, although, we have plenty of mobility up front, we just need someone to get on the end of things, i think that someone like him , when he was in his prime would be ideal
-
since 06/07 100 games and 22 goals,
Carrer- 307 games 110 goals
Not good enough, we need someone that scores goals !!Last edited by a moderator: Jan 6, 2010 -

I'm sure he's a decent player, but if he can't start for Stoke and didn't score in a whole season then it's not what we should be after IMO.
