They will stop the Darts coming to Glasgow. It seems everytime it is in Glasgow something happens.

The Darts seems to attract a fair few neds, I remember it was here a few years back in Citywest and there was killings at it.

Thats the breed of people that go to the darts these days.
I went to the one in Belfast this year, will not be back, proper darts fans like myself stop going to darts now when you have the soccer types going for drink and fighting..

Spitting is for absolute lowlifes, disgusting behaviour. Worse than punching a guy in the face, at least that takes a set of baws.

You can see why it would attract these types but I don't think it should detract from the general audience.

Doesn`t matter what type of event it is,same stuff happens at concerts as well. There will always be the usual fucknuggets that spoil it for the majority.

Your embarrassed to be a part of an entire nation due to the actions of one person?? Seems a bit of an OTT reaction to me tbh.

Had a great night on Thursday, was dressed up as a womble. :icon_mrgreen:

Have to say though, there is no doubt that, like so many events that start off great, the ned element eventually move in and it has increased drastically since the 1st time I went in 2008. I didn't know about the spitting thing until I got home, but even beyond that, the 'arseholeometer' was off the scale.

There was one * in particular behind me, just looked like a complete hun ned, he was trying to sing GSTQ over the top of Flower of Scotland and shouted '* The Pope' at the end of Robert Thornton's walk-on. :87:

    Just an absolute * *. :38:

That said, at certain points the atmosphere was pretty incredible, Thornton looked completely over-whelmed and Anderson clearly was. :87:

Had a pretty good night on the betting front, took Lewis at 11/10, Thornton at 6-4, Taylor in the handicap at 11/10 (crazy odds!) and Wade in the handicap at 5/6.

Only Anderson let me down, he's hopeless on the doubles and Newton is pretty solid all round, I knew I shouldn't have bet him, but .. caught up in the patriotism. :87:

I've always thought I'd like to go to the darts as it looks like a good night. If I ever do go I certainly won't be going when it's in Glasgow anyway. * paying £5 a pint to sit and listen to scumbags singing the Sash and shouting * the Pope.

    What a performance by Thornton!

Humped Taylor and shut up the crowd, who were clearly retaliating to the carry on in Glasgow last week.

33-1 to win the tournament, well worth a punt. :50:

I know I'm repeating myself but Gary Anderson really is one of the worst professional darts players I've ever seen when it comes to hitting doubles. For a pro he's terrible at it.

It's such a pity because he scores well enough to be a World Champion.
