I'd absolutely love to have him here but this has Saudi written all over it. Same agent as jota, Ruben neves, fabinho, Cristiano Ronaldo. Just can't see us being able to compete with wages. 12m isn't a drop in the ocean to any Premier league club either. Probably just using our name to gather other interest in him. He's the type we should be going for though. Definitely a game changer in the jota mould

Remember the Saudi teams have a limit on how many foreigners they can have in their squads. That's why Jota got loaned out already.

With that kind of money in Saudi Arabia im confident they will remove the rules (with cash ofc) on how many foreigners they can have.

We asked for a Jota replacement and this would do it. Infact it potentially could improve upon it. Get it done now. Please.

Would be a good signing and do well in the league and possibly in europe, 7m tops is what I'd be happy with.

I’ve always thought he was a good player. Didn’t we just miss out on him before he went to the EPL?

Honestly it would be a good signing but I question if we should ever really be signing players from the EPL. The market is just so badly inflated and the quality doesn’t match the amount of inflation. There’s so many good players outside the EPL we should always look to buy outside of it.

I dont get it why we dont explore the portugese league more. I know he play in the EPL but there are dozens of good talent to pick up over there.

It's literally the Mecca of wingers.

If there is a reason he's £12m then it's probably so Wolves can say here is a load of cash to make up for earning less than you would here for the next year, now * off.
I'm not against this happening, far from it, I just don't see it happening.

Why is it always the negative assumption that if we don't get a player the papers linked us to it's because we * up somehow? Players have a mind of their own and can decide not to come here all by themselves. EPL to SPL is a big step down, even if we have a decent offer on the table lets not kid ourselves on he should be in a rush to accept.

Saudi does seem a likely one, am sure a few EPL teams would be sniffing about but if Wolves have asked for £12M that would put plenty off.

Whilst I do agree, it would be a bit daft to pay £12m when he has 12 months left and there's 2 weeks of the window.

Agree we should be spending money and no issue with double figures but in this scenario, there's clearly a better deal to be had if we negotiate.

In the last year his of deal and Wolves struggling with FFP, 6-8mill bid and see what they come back with. Would love him here.

Bid 9million (still doesn’t exceed our record) and that should definitely tempt them. We’d still be in a surplus this window from the jota fee alone until lagerbielke signs which would still only bring us to like a 1m net spend

We might be his only offer the now thats why. Like we did with john mcginn! Waited hoping the club would cave and lower demands when Aston villa came in paid going rate and he went there. Same happened with mcnamara in 2005 we would pay him going rate. Went to wolves and we phoned him and offered him what he asked for and he told lawwell to * off

Ivan toney in 2020 knew the price, guy was in the * building. Birds glaswegian. We dicked about over some clauses and a few million, went to Brentford and we bought ajeti

Andre Kramaric 2014 agent was locked outside cause scepovic was £1m cheaper and looked how that worked out!

History of dragging our heels costs you when you have identified the no1 target!

Mate we are one of the worst around for it.

We are * scared of losing a penny and due to that every penny we spend is grudged.

We have a list a mile long of projects who were * costing us 1-2mil who all failed rather than identify a player who may cost a bit more (5mil+) as we are * scared they flop but in reality we have wasted much more on projects
