Is he that good? I see a lot of hype but i dont feel as excited by the prospect as some. 12 goals and 6 assists in 91 games for Wolves…

He's a good player. I've seen enough of him to know that if he settles he'd rip it to bits for us.

Similar questions were asked of Sinclair before Rodgers brought him up here at a similar age IIRC.

For about £8m or so it's a no brainer if we can work it.

Idn it seems like a lot of money for us. Sinclair was quite a bit less.

I feel like we have been really uninspiring this window.. for £8m i think there would be better targets available

Podence is a fantastic player, I honestly don't think there's much between him and Jota, albeit that might just be bias on my part.

For £8 million he'd be a fantastic signing.

Podence is probably more comfortable beating a man as he's quicker and can go either way. Jota better close control and maybe consistency, despite having spells under it..

Would we pay 8 mill for someone almost out of contract?

I rated him so highly. Podence is right up there in a high bracket for what we can attract. He'd run riot in my opinion..

    He's 100% smash it here.

Going from Taylor and Maeda on the left to Tierney and Podence :35:

    Versatility as well..

He can play all 3 attacking positions. Tilio can. Yang can play both sides. Abada occasionally..

He's so quick and tricky. He'd be fouled for fun. Low centre of gravity..

Honestly? For me podence is a £15 million+ player, we'd have no chance if he wasn't in his last year.

If he's available for £8 million, I'd 100% go for it

    Honestly what bud?

9 mill is our highest ever transfer. Woild we go thst for someone surplus, training with kids, out of contract in 12 months? I dunno. We could but dunno if we would for the outlay on him..

    He's class I agree..

I said honestly as in he's worth the £8 million for me, but it might not matter now as the Records came out saying his wage demands are a problem :triste:

I want him in. Just think because of the contract situation, what the want for him and ffp......that we'd be reluctant to go top end..

Hopefully im wrong and the manager states it's what he needs..

I suspect we'll go to Europe for someone else..

He was half the price in 2016 tbf mate which is 7 year ago now. Wed probably pay about £8m for him now, fhe market has changed that much even since.

Record Sport understands the Hoops are not interested in pursuing Fraser despite the Magpies offering a deal for the Scotland man. And a bid for Podence is also a nonstarter due to the £12m-rated Portuguese wide man’s wage demands.
