no you can comment all you like, but dont be surprised if people take the opinion of a pro footballer more seriously , or if people take the opinion of someone who has been to N. Korea than you're opinion which is based on secondary and tertiary sources

I was not speaking to you.

Owning a dog, does not give you the automatic knowledge on all things about its breed.

There is PLENTY information around suggesting the Akita, is infact the opposite from what you suggest.

Personally, I don't have a lot of time for the breed, due to its high demands. I also do not have a lot of time for people who take them on just to add inches to their *.

I'm sorry but anywhere you look their most renowned trait is there loyalty. They are very protective and loving towards their family.

The prohibited breeds in the Dangerous Dogs Act are indeed 'dangerous'!

(Illegal) ownership of any of them would be similar to owning a 'domesticated' Tiger. You might get away with it for so long, but you're sitting on a potential time bomb!

Really?I owned 2 pit bulls for over a decade, they never once showed any signs of being a "time bomb"I'm guessing you get your information from the tabloids and have no experience of any of these banned breeds.

Hilariously enough, the worst dogs i've met is Chihuahuas! Cant stand those dogs and the owners. They get so spoiled by getting carryed up the sofa and fed by hand.

Plenty of studies have shown that Pit Bulls are one of the most likely breeds of dog to attack a human without provocation.

To be fair though, the UK ban on the breed was a lot to do with the amount of fuckwits that were buying them and abusing them to the point that they became a liability.

There's no dangerous dogs. Just dangerous owners

Now your getting at the root of the problem, the Human fuckwits that are the real dangerous breed.Never has a breed been so consistently brutalised, beaten, starved, abandoned and demonised as the Bull breed and people want to ban the dogs rather than deal with the real problem of indiscriminate breeding and ownership of dogs by a sociopathic underclass of barely human pondlife.

    I'm not picky.
This is kind of the point I think a lot of people are making. It's not down to the dogs, but down to the owner. If you have a responsible owner who trains the dog well as it grows from puppy to * then there should really be no problem with that dog, no matter the breed. You get irresponsible owners then the dog is going to be a liability.

I mentioned in a different post that there's a pit-bull owner a few doors down from me and his dog's got an intimidating look but it's as docile as a kitten. In fact there's this little rat-type thing that lives further along the my street and he's more aggressive than the pit-bull. Always yapping and running at people. Little * that he is.

These "dangerous" dogs have unfortunately earned a bad rep over the years, especially from the media, due to the way that the "sociopathic underclass of barely human pondlife" (as fordprefect describes them :icon_mrgreen:) has raised them.
