I would say we just go with Daizen or Maeda, probably leave out the like Kyogo and like Naka bits.

Looking back, a year ago. I never expected to receive so many warm comments and messages now. I honestly don't know if I still lived up to your expectations. But I'm really glad I was able to play in the Marinos uniform. Thank you for a year and a half

  3. I truly wonder why Daizin's deal was half a season as a loanee to start with. Is it because Ange may not be there next season? Or that Kyogo might get a gig over in the EPL for next season.
Two very similar players, both being there for the rest of this season at least is most certainly a
    win win I think think.

  4. Yeah, the family name is always said/written before the given name in Japan.
Most people know that the western style is opposite though, so quite often introduce themselves to a foreigner with their given name first.
Anything official, or formal situations, is always the traditional Japanese way though.

To me it's almost certainly to free up some money for the rest of the window. Required some good faith from Yokohama I think. But ti me this is what makes sense, especially with it being an obligation to buy in the summer, rather than option

Hmmm , no pressure then !

  9. i think more likely to avoid a clause inserted from previous employers in portugual, maybe a clause in his contract if hes sold to a club in europe before summer of 2022 then they are due a percentage of any transfer , with us loaning him then it maybe means more money for yokohama

From what i've read it's simply a case of both clubs protecting themselves. If it doesn't work out for Maeda here then Marinos won't lose him and we won't lose a lot of money. If it does work out then we simply bring him in on a permanent deal. Win/win scenario.

Can't really see Maeda failing here though. I absolutely love Kyogo but think Maeda will handle the physicality of the league easier.

It's an obligation to buy so we've essentially already permanently signed him but aren't paying the fee until summer.

Interesting. I've read it's an option to buy so we could still call it off at end of loan term if it doesn't work out. If all goes well then it's a case of just paying up the £1.7ish million for him.

Not sure what you were reading but Celtic's press release on the three signings says it's not an option.

"Daizen will join Celtic initially on loan but with a compulsory purchase clause included, meaning he will be with Celtic on a permanent basis from the summer on a long-term deal."

Sky Sports and some twitter goss. :fear:

But aye. Had a read at the clause and stand corrected, cheers. So he's basically ours even if he were to flop (very optimistic that won't be the case).

  16. Kyogo will definitely be called into the Japan squad for the World Cup qualifier- as long as they change the rules regarding covid, what is the story with Maeda though. He doesn't seem to have many caps?

  17. Sound like the auld PL clause, you get to sign 3 but one on loan, then in the summer we can unveil him as our top signing!!!

A bit of tongue and cheek as I'm actually really impressed with all three of the signings. The work ethic and workrate these lads will bring to the squad will definitely take the rest of the players up a notch. Actually buzzing for the season to resume.
