Maybe I'm just so tired of seeing Taylor at LB but is there any way Maeda can take that position up instead.

Least he has the pace to play out of position unlike Taylor.

Sure as * at signing a quality LB and this point I'd * try anything.

We now see why, in 1 single game, why he will always be missed more when he’s not there. He’s taken for granted by far too many supporters who only want to focus on what he can’t do.

He is the ultimate leveller in our squad at higher standards.

Grand old team to play for
Noticed it when we tried to play long balls up to Kyogo, both CBs were on him together. If they have to worry about Maeda's pace too one needs to keep an eye out for him.

He is a crucial part of our tactics and helps raise the energy levels around him.

Fully accept when he’s back that I’ll be screaming at his lack of technical ability and decision making, though.

The pace & energy of Daizen, strength & power of Oh and creativity & guile of Palma could make a tasty front 3.

Back in training along with Abada, but that doesn’t mean too much for a timeline, could be a light jog by himself training or ready to start Sunday training.

We could really do with daizen and abada back, apart from Palma were not getting much joy from wide players

Miss abadas directness and goals from his first season, maedas pace and work rate is invaluable, obviously Jota leaving was a blow but Palma can offset that s bit.

Too much quality missing alongside a different style is killing us and momentum

Cannot wait until he's back. What he gives the team at both ends of the park invaluable.

He comfortably benches Palma as well.

Yeah he will, yet another headache wether to play Palma right or behind a striker or leave him out altogether

These issues are all better served when your winning and playing well, I'd rather get abada back and go with daizen kyogo abada plenty of pace

At home we go with them 3 up top with Palma in behind kyogo and Callum and Matt holding the midfield, away from home play iwata Callum and O'Riley so we're more solid

Aye I would gladly have him back ballooning balls out the park, running the ball out for a goal kick and hitting the corner flag with a shot right about now. The sheer lack of pace and intensity at the minute is glaring and ge would help us immensely with that.

I think those that underestimated his importance to what we do has been highlighted over the last few weeks..

I think it's been mainly nobody else really has the threat of running in behind for us. It's not really just missing him.

Means when we are attacking teams nobody is really worried about Johnston or Taylor overlapping and they also aren't up against a quick wide player who's going to run in behind either, Palma, Johnston, Forrest and Yang all drop deep to be passed a ball and Taylor and Johnston only ever overlap now and again, they mostly stand in behind and pass it about.

Only Maeda and Abada of our wide players run in behind off the ball to time runs for passes, then only really Ralston of our full-backs pass and run up the line like that as well, Bernaberi also does it more than Taylor or Johnston.

But none of the 4 have been playing.

So we've been restricted to a lot of passing it about out wide and in the midfield with the opposition not really worried about off the ball runners.
