Glimpses of his pressing, albet a bit over excited in how he's been doing it....but it's his debut...keen to impress..

    Calm for his finish..

Great finish. He's rapid and constantly looking for the ball. Him and Kyogo gonna be lethal!!

The mistakes that come off the back of his pressing are gold dust already, can’t be underestimated - same as Kyogo.

Liking what he's doing so far. Workmate and pace is outstanding. When he gets used to his teammates and knows where to be, him and Kyogo are gonna be devastating.

What a start. Pressing and movement superb. Give him a chance and he will bury it

Is he a striker? Would be criminal not having him and Kyogo in the same team.

    A fukin love Japan man.

Apparently Ange played him on the left of the front 3 more often than up top for Yokohama, I'm sure we'll see both in the team plenty.

It’s like he jogs at a decent pace towards their defenders/gk so they don’t panic and hoof it and then when he he’s getting closer just massively accelerates and closes them down rapidly.

    A front 3 of

    Maeda Kyogo Jota

is pretty tasty, especially when you have

    Hatate McGregor Rogic

In the midfield. One day that front 6 will start and they will put 60 minutes together that will blow a team away. Can’t wait.

He waits for the keeper to take his touch and he accelerates hoping that it’s heavy. He’s going to get a couple goals a season taking keepers by surprise.

Definitely goals or assists by the keeper fumbling it to another attacker. Very very good signs. I enjoyed that game and the style Ange had us playing

Was always hunting for the ball, proper striker's instincts. Would be happy to see him rotated in the middle based on today. Can see him being like Kyogo and of far more use off the ball looking for opportunities than carrying it.

    Can't ask for much more..

Will be devastating once he gets an understanding and links with Jota and Kyogo..

The Japanese Ray Shoesmith (one for Mr Inbetween fans)

If he is half as good a hitman as Ray we’ve won a watch.
