If he was from wishaw and playing at Ibrox then he would be pegged as the next Pele though

A Spanish Massimo Donati. Except without the goals. And the stupid haircut.

He needs to find his way into the gym and to move with the ball a bit more. I think Evander Sno did exactly the same job as him, but didn't get knocked off the ball (then again, I never wanted us to sell Sno).

he wasnt a first pick for most of the season and maybe thats been part of the problem because it must be more difficult to perform at your best when you have been injured or your in and out of the team . Id just like to see him get a run and lets see because no matter what you think barca wouldnt have inserted the buy back clause if they didnt think there was a chance he can go on to much bigger things

yeah i'm talking about how he's not only overrated because he's from barcelona

In barca some players rate him as the new Xavi - i'm talking about Xavi himself, and Rafa Benitez has attempted to but him before so it's not just us who think he is tht good.

He's neither Sno or Donati. He'll become a player, he's shown all the signs of it.

I don't know where this lightweight thing comes from either, I watched every minute of every game last season and have yet to see someone 'push him' off the ball.

Gomis ran all over him against dundee utd. He was easily brushed off the ball and at times pulled out of tackles he should have been going into.

    He's young...hopefully it will come.

He showed great signs last season of what sort of player he will become.

There is no doubt in my mind that he will be a great player and his name will be known throughtout Europe.
Maybe not exactly the same type of player, but he can easily go on to have a simmilar career to that of Gattuso.
He has raw talent, great vision, a brilliant pass on him, not scared to take the long shots, and his accuracy is great for his age.
Unfortunately if he makes a good impact this season, Barca may come back in for him.

If that happens, he'll be a star.

Guardiola persuaded him to stay, it was in 2007 - he was highly mooted to be going there due to the barcelona b relegation.

also he scored against some south african team i've just found out, even though he said he'd never scored or something lol

That was his worst game in a Celtic strip, I still didn't see him being ran over or pulling out of tackles though. His biggest fault in that game was his decision making and passing which are normally his 2 best attributes, possibly caused by the fact he was constantly harried by Gomis and Bauben.

If he had came from Aberdeen and not Barcelona he wouldn't be rated anywhere near what some people think of him. He hasn't impressed me in any away games whatsoever, just the odd home one where he gets tonnes of space.

One of his best games came on the farmers field that is Fir Park. He was instrumental in all the good play in what was widely accepted as the best football Celtic played under Strachan.

Not impressed with him at all tbh. Had the odd average game, nothing more.
