What's the way around that ?

I see no problem with the current set up.. The sooner Ireland are made a test side the better and we'll be challenging the top teams consistently instead of losing the likes of Joyce, Morgan and Rankin to England.

Next WC is going to 10 teams which means 2 associate teams will make it, I have no problem with Ireland as a team but seeing them playing Afghanistan at a World Cup is a nightmare

Maybe it'll be better for the game but that's just further isolating the associate teams. To be fair though, Ireland are clearly the best associate side so we should still be qualifying for the WC.

Ireland are a wonderful team, Scotland have some talent with the bat but there bowling is the type I used to face on a Saturday morning nothing threatening about it

Not in an anti Scotland way, its just that it means fuclk all to us, its a novelty sport here, but it means a lot to the people of Afghanistan.

They havent had a whole lot to cheer about for a very long time.

It's the third most popular sport in Scotland.A lot of people here including me would love to see a Scotland win

I don't give a * about Afghanistan, the huns haven't had much to cheer about for a long time neither have Leeds. Doesn't make me sympathetic towards them

Third most popular!!! Youre having a laugh mate! Football, rugby, golf, snooker....not to mention athletics, cycling darts and fishing!

That said.....fair enough if you are into it.I do generally hope they win, its just a seen a clip of some place in Afghanistan where they were all huddled around some TV going nuts.....and i thought, * they could do with something good for a minute in their lives.
