[Link] Craig Gordon

Discussion in 'Transfer Rumours' started by T.Rogne25, Jun 12, 2011.

  1. Had the chance to do it the following week against the huns, in a game which actually meant something for Gordon and his team, and he didn't do it.

    That speaks volumes.

  2. It's in the news of the world today too saying that man city want a sale of given and Bellamy and not put them out on loan so Craig Gordon is a far more realistic option

  3. Great GK, but too injury prone. Plus Sunderland bought him for 9 mil., imagine how big fee they will ask for.

  4. I'd take the guy, but Sunderland paid £9m for him, so I don't think we'll get him for cheap, I'd pay £3m at the most for him but Sunderland wouldn't agree IMO.

  5. he is an excellent keeper. would be well pleased with this.

if craig could get over his injury problems he would be a great signing for us.

on form he's one of the best gk's in britain imo

  6. I would definitely take him even with him being injured. We could make do with Zaluska until Craig has recovered.

There was 4 Keepers I wanted he was one of them.

    (In order of preference)

    Given
    Boruc
    Gordon
    Pletikosa

  7. Given is the main one for me.I don't believe man city will play hardball if shay wants to come to us.better to sell to us for 2-3m than to arsenal for 4m.

If we can't get shay, thomas sorenson of stoke might be good shout.didn't play as often as he liked last season.still has it to compete at a high standard

  8. I'd be delighted if we signed Craig Gordon. He's Scotland's best goalkeeper and would be top notch for us. Really hope there is some truth in this story but I suspect Craig Gordon might be out of our price range.

  9. Craig Gordon cost £9m as an SPL goalkeeper

When fit he's proved to be one of the best goalkeepers in the Prem

I therefore reckon Sunderland would be looking for £12-15m for him so not gonna happen

  10. I think he is class id love him to sign for us & he never used to get injured it seems to be since he went to sunderland, he needs to move & start a fresh. The massive problem is transfer fee teams like sunderland want treble their asking fee.

  11. I would love him here, cracking keeper. He should be fine with the injuries once he's given a bit of time to recover, thought he was rushed back abit by Sunderland before.

  12. if there was any truth in it at all id be delighted but thats the fitrst ive seen so pinch of salt time

  13. Well that's him totally fecked then if he goes to Arsenal !

What do they know about picking keepers ffs ! :84:

  14. If this isn't a bullshit story, and there really is a chance of us getting Craig Gordon, then I think we should go all out in our efforts to get him.

I'd take Craig Gordon before Given, Westwood or Forster who seem to be the 3 main 'keepers we've been linked with so far.

  15. Great keeper no doubt, but there's a reason for Sunderland selling (if they do), and it's certainly not a lack of ability. He's always injured.

  16. The guy is a FANTASTIC goalkeeper...one of the best in Britain.

He is also one of the most injury-prone players currently on these shores.

I'm sure I saw somewhere that Sunderland were going to release him to free up wages?

  17. not 100% sure but i think i seen that he is out till october... no point in getting him

  18. If it meant we could get Craig Gordon, I would be happy to play the first 2 months of the season with Lukasz Zaluska in goals.

  19. If we signed Gordon, Zaluska would be playing more than him.
