For those who are in love.....
I really like and rate Gordon but let's be honest, he's been howling so far this season..

Shoulda been sent off at home to Ross county
    Malmo away
    Aberdeen away
    The equalizer tonight..

It's simply not good enough. He needs to have a word with his self..

Edit: This is us only a few game's in aswell and he seems like he is a man who cannot command and sort out his defence. Trips izzy up and comically we give away a corner. Runs out to claim a ball on tge edge of the box but Ambrose still hoofs. What is going on?

Absolutely shocking for the second - inexcusable.

Not to make excuses, but even Forster, Boruc and the like made errors of that calibre in big games.

He had the cross from which Milk hit the post with, where he came for a cross he was never getting. Redeemed himself by punching the ball away from the rebound.

As good a delivery as it was from Schone, we had players in positions near the ball who never dealt with it. Gordon made the decision to come from his line but not convincing enough. He never attacked the ball and they had bodies in front of him. If he stayed on his line the ball it may have been the better option, as the ball ended up in his starting position(going by where the ball entered the goal). However with the bodies running across the front post, even holding his position would have left it down to his reactions and handling.

On Saturday he chose to stay on his line for a ball that was played into his 6-yard box. Tonight he chose to come off his line in the aforementioned instances.

He was actually dealing very well with crosses the whole game up until their second goal. He'll come back, a few errors this season but form is temporary, class is permanent.

I felt sorry for Gordon, i don't think he could believe that both the ajax players missed the ball. totally flat footed him.

Wouldn't really blame him. The quality of the ball and our deep line made him look like an idiot.

Said this to ma pals I watched the game with (they said same as you), that is a * of a free kick for a goalie.

Chelsea game last night, same. Hedman vs Bayern a few year ago, same.

Keeper is waitin on a touch aff some *, by that time its too late.

If I was the keeper Id just be watchin the ball. If some * got a touch nobody would be blamin Gordon, but that cross is a keepers nightmare.

Don't be too harsh is all Im sayin.

He's been a great keeper for us up until this season when he's looked to be lacking in coming out for crosses and lofted free kicks......down the years we have always had keepers with this problem it seems....Foster was murder at this too don't forget....still though, Craig Gordon is our best keeper and shouldn't be dropped..... mistakes by keepers usually cause a goal but we have to look at the great saves he's had and the goals he's prevented.....seems weird that so many players have hit a rocky patch all at the same time though, so he's not the only one struggling with his form.

still capable of pulling off amazing saves, but sadly looks like a flappy bird
at cross balls. He really doesn't have a clue how to command his box.

He's a superb goalie, I did think he was a bit sloppy at goal, but when you watch it again I agree with the likes of WGS and that as it was a superb ball and loads of bodies jumping in front of him, it was just a case of where the ball would be.

He will settle down again, we have to hope that a regular pairing in front of him, Boyata and Simunovic will allow the keeper to relax and start trusting his defence to do their job. It must be hard not knowing what the players in front of you are likely to do.

What was he doing at their second goal? I've watched it and watched it and cannot fathom why he done what he done. If he stands still the ball probably hits him in the chest.

He does seem to have a brain fart in big games but he also usually has some big moments in these same games as well.

Once the defence gets settled then he will be more commanding, I wouldn't be for dropping him just yet.

There may very well be something in the defence being nervous because Gordon is behind them at set pieces.

I don't think he's any good at them at all. His shot stopping is spectacular, he's agile and has fantastic anticipation but command of his box? Very, very, poor.

He had no chance with the goal last night. As Sutton said in the commentary, it was a special, wicked delivery. It would have been nice for a defender to get a head on the ball but it wasn't as if Gordon had all the time in the world to see it coming.

I do think he could command his box a bit better and has been at fault for a few goals. He's not perfect like last season but still a great GK.

I've looked at it again and still have same thoughts as last night. Yes he could have done better but it wasn't all him. It was a great, fast, dipping ball. The line started on the 6 yd box and as soon as the ball was fired in us/them moved in on him. As the ball came to Craig, there were 2 players in front of him - Boyata & Klasse, who was immediately in front of Craig. Boyata didn't jump and yet is getting away scot free. Klasse jumped to head the ball and then ducked to allow the ball to pass him into the net.

    So 3 observations.
It was a fantastic ball into the box.
CG should have imposed himself more - he's a big lad and it's his territory.
Boyata - he's a big CB , so why oh why didn't he jump and knock the ball out for a corner?
