I was behind the Celtic goal in the first half when he had nothing to do, but from where I was sitting in the second half he had a complete disaster. Haven't seen a replay of their goal but looked completely his fault and his distribution was woeful. He also looked at fault for their offside goal.

I was more concerned about him flapping at their offside goal to be honest. He doesn't lok comfortable coming for crosses at all now in my opinion. He was partly to blame for the goal we lost away in Astana when he come out and got nowhere near it as well.

If I'm honest we've gotten far more out of him than I thought we would. When he signed he was considered injury-prone and well past his best.

He's 33 now though, and we need some serious competition for the starting position in goals.

Seen plenty of Vorm - good shot stopper and quick off his line but not the commanding presence you'd be looking for. Also he's the wrong side of 30 now so wouldn't be worth the investment, better off looking at English lower divisions for someone with real potential similar to how Butland was before Stoke signed him. Really think we missed a trick not moving for Danny Ward.

He was at fault for the goal imo, the striker was never getting to that if you watch the replay, he stands and waits at the edge of the box he collects that in his arms and it's danger over.

The striker was nearly on the end of it when Gordon headed it clear. He would have definitely got onto it had Gordon stayed on his line.

    I like Gordon.

We can certainly do better, but there are other positions that need more urgent attention. I can't see us buying a 'keeper this Summer.

Don't blame him for their goal, how many second balls did our midfield fail to win last night, too * many. Only the Astana players anticipated it.
For the disallowed goal though * me that looked bad not to mention his kicking, actually worse than Forsters kicking last night.

Watch it again mate, the striker halts his run a bit and wouldn't have made it imo.

After watching their goal last night a few times I'm no blaming Gordon, I think he had to come for it.

However I would still be on the lookout for a better keeper. Gordon had a great first season but has went a bit downhill as time has went on. His distribution is * terrible and he flaps at crosses as everyone has said.

Definitely not good enough, came flapping last week, did it again last night and got away with it then came needlessly again and it almost cost us dearly, i wonder how many would be defending him had we went out. Clear improvement needed in that position

I've watched it a few times, he would have. The striker anticipates Gordon is going to win it, and therefore alters his run to try and block the header. It was actually good positioning from Gordon, and a good reading of the game. Whether he could have done better with the header in terms of where he put it I'm not sure, and that is a whole different argument. I think he done the right thing by coming for it though, and it's only after watching it a few times today have I thought that, because I felt the same as you last night when it happened.

Where he has to be questioned though, is when he come out flapping for their disallowed goal.

I think there was more than one person to blame for the goal, can't blame Gordon and not blame Brown, seemed to decelerate and let the player by him before realising it was too late and trying to slide. Gordon's distribution was woeful last night kicking out a lot of times when we were looking to get up the park quickly. Gordon is inconsistent and his set pieces and corners aren't up to scratch, would like to see a new keeper in.

Why wait till next season?still got over 3 weeks of this transfer window, why not sort it now?
He came out too quickly and too fast. A defender was running with the opponent, Gordon did not need to be that far out at that time. Had he wait 2 seconds longer he could have smothered the ball in the box and we wouldn't be talking about this, but he didn't and it isn't the first blunder he has made that has cost us.
He also stopped running back to his goal after it while he watched the play unfold. Of you are coming out like that then you must track back every bit as fast. Not stop to watch where the ball is going then think "aw *"

The offside goal as well, also not the first time he has pulled a stunt like that as well.

Just look back at all the goals conceded last year in Europe, majority is either Gordon or Ambrose to blame.

Aside from a slow build up game last year, those two were/still are the biggest culprits to us conceding goals.

I honestly would rather gove bailly or fasan a chance, or if deemed not good enough then we certainly need a new 1st team keeper as Gordon certainly isn't good enough.

His distribution is horrendous, his command of his area practically doesn't exist, coming for crosses he has no idea at times what he is meant to do, communication like his commanding doesn't seem to exist.
His attention and decision making at times are very questionable. All of which out together in high pressure games makes him cost us, time and time again.
He gets beat at his near post too often, flaffs at balls, can't kick a ball out to a team mate....

But don't worry, his shot stopping at times is rather good and he once was sold for 9million, so we should put up with him.

The reason Gordon came out is obvious, he though Efe was playing and did not want to take the chance of leaving it to him.:87:

New keeper required people seem to forget 'Efe' Gordons howlers week in and out during his time with the diets, bring Artur home
