That Falcao's not really getting a game at Man U either, he could probably battle it out with Griffiths up front if we don't keep Guidetti. Looking at our Seville team, having a world class striker was probably what made us so good.

He'd keep Wee Jamesy on his toes anyway.

25k though and the chance to win a few medals and play in the CL. Not to be sniffed at.

Probably been mentioned before, but the fact domestically that Craig Gordon is not tested that much in comparison to some other teams / leagues is ideal for him.

For a keeper with a chequered career injury-wise, that's maybe not the worst place for him to play.

Let's face it, he will only be put under pressure in European games and the odd game domestically for 5 or 10 minutes.

All the while having trophies and medals stuffed into his hands.

I know I'm making it sound like he has fck all to do, but obviously Crag Gordon has played a huge part in this season for us. I just think that Celtic is a good fit for him, now and in the future.

Unless that big back up move to a Chelsea ever happens and then he would have decide if he wants more money but sitting on the bench like some have chosen to do.

    Hello Neil Alexander! *spits*

What part of - a know it would never happen do people not understand! I am merely stating the need for a top class keeper to stay at the top and fight in Europe! Thought that was evident with the lol at the beginning but hey ho! Live and learn!

Craig Gordon to start coaching badges and become apprentice at the club to Stevie Woods, stays with us long term and we get a few more good years from him. That would be the ideal situation for me.

Great goalie, proven international lot's of experience and just grateful to be playing football at the moment, enjoying success. I can't imagine him leaving right now.

I think!!! Being to 2 important words! How many additional league titles, cups etc would we have won if we had the standard of keeper we have now in the past??

The point I am making is that we don't want to go back to the Douglas days! Where we could of won alot more if it wasn't for balls going through his legs and at his near post! Gordon was luck and is still riding it as far as I am concerned! If he injures that knee who do we have? A couple of keepers that have played a game or 2 in 3 seasons!

Look at big Forster, he's just been injured badly. It's football, injuries happen. Fingers crossed Craig Gordon stays fit, there's no reason he shouldn't and he has already committed himself to throwing his body on the line to make saves this season. When he needs rested I'm sure the coaches and Craig himself will recognize it.

My initial post was is response to if Gordon was sold or put out the game for good! Just looking at what we should aim for which has been our weak point in the past. Forster and boruc exempt.

There will be a few good keepers out there for us if the worst happened. We couldn't pass Gordon up for no fee though once we knew he was fit enough and Stevie Woods gave him the nod, surely we had just as good a replacement for Forster in mind only more expensive.

Great to see him given the nod ahead of Marshall and McGregor tonight. Hope he makes the most of it.

Gordon's injury is well past him. Everyone knows that. As it stands he has as much chance of a career ending injury as Courtois, Boruc, Forster, De Gea, Bravo, anycunt.

We can't keep going around panicking that he is going to do his knee in again. We have a world class goalkeeper, an adequate backup keeper (Zaluska) for the stature/money of our club and a promising few young keepers.

SHOULD Gordon be sold or take a long term injury, THEN we should worry about a replacement. And going by our past 3 goalkeepers over the past 8/9 years I say we would manage to pick one up quite well. Great scout in Park and a great coach in Woods.

It'd be madness and pointless on so many levels if we had two first choice keepers on our books.
