Not the corner but I'll admit it I didn't want him purely for the reason he hadn't kicked or saved a ball in many years.... I also don't buy the hype of the guy when he was at hearts or Sunderland for that matter he was highly over rated but that's just my opinion! The fact we had Forster who proved himself against messi etc European and league stage was phenomenal and we let him go for so many million and replaced him with Gordon was outrageous!!!! "At the time"

I'll gladly eat my humble pie and say it was a steal at a extremely high risk i also think if he's put under more pressure like he has in the Europa we will see he has become that "world class" keeper as I said in my opinion he was never before

Keep it up and I'll put him in the hero bracket as boruc and Forster if not better as imo he has a lot more to prove but so far so good and I'm just glad we could have 3 great keepers in a row

I wasn't talking about you mate, but fair enough. You weren't one of the ones who was quoted:smiley-laughing002:

I was sceptical as well, I will say that. However it was purely because of his injury history, not because he came up for a corner in the last minute against us when he was still a Hearts player.:smiley-laughing002:

Naw I know am just saying I'll happily admit it! Didn't rate him honestly I didn't get the big hype at hearts or Sunderland for that matter an odd save doesn't make you world class consistancy does and imo he never done that at them but is more than proving that here

Selling forster for £10m and replacing him with a keeper with is arguably better for free is probably the best bit of business Celtic have done since we got Larsson for peanuts.

Fraser who....?! Great double save at the end from Gordon. I knew if he could stay fit he would be a good signing, didn't realise this good though !!

That double save was one of the best I've seen, absolutely amazing reflexes. Guys a different level

In my opinion he's a better keeper already. His distribution is better than fosters he commandes his box better and his reflex saves are just as good.As good as Boruc was he was prone to the odd moment of lack of concentration and his approach sometimes was less than professional.

Fantastic signing, scores the winner from a corner at the San Siro and all is forgotten. Didn't think we could get as good as big Fraz but we have :50:

Signing of the season. What a tremendous piece of business.

Could tell how much it meant to him after that save to.

The Hearts fans always told us how good Gordon was. The lad is Top Class. Nothing new in what he's doing for us now. He was injured but has come back as good as ever

He's not better than Fraser ffs. The same with Virgil, let's see if Gordon can perform when it counts in the big European matches, then we can talk.

Fraser has been world class for Southampton this season and played several blinders for us in the Champions League, imo it's highly disrespectful to Fraser, and incredibly knee-* to say Gordon is better. And listing off attributes (i.e distribution and what not) doesn't exactly prove anything either. Fraser Forster was absolutely world class at times for us and Gordon performing domestically doesn't exactly put him on the same bracket nevermind ahead of him.

Forster is the better shot-stopper IMO (though Gordon is also excellent at that); Gordon commands his box and organises the back 4 better. Hard to say who is better overall. It can't be denied that selling Forster for so much and getting Gordon on a free is fantastic business.

I agree that it's brilliant business, but this whole "he's already better than Forster" is pure reactionary nonsense. Forster has gone down to the EPL and is now one of the best keepers there too.

Forster has had a number of blunders already this season that have largely been overlooked. Some very very poor mistakes. Yet now he is in the England squad regularly and playing in England its overlooked.

I think in terms of talent Gordon has more than Forster, he is better commanding his box, better at cross balls, better with his feet and distribution, forster is better at shot stopping.

    Gordon > Forster

Fraser was great for making snap-shot saves and one-on-ones... no doubt. But he was absolutely hellish if he had any time to 'think' whilst the ball was in the air, or played between him and the last defender.
