That just sounds exactly what he said about Lustig last season. Hope Gordon isn't kept on.

 

I think the situation makes it different though tbh, not a lot is going to be spent on transfers and that includes us.

 

Nah no chance we'll be going into the season with Bain and Gordon as our keepers. I think Bain is a decent keeper too but we need better.

 

Lustig was offered a contract though wasn't he, but Gent offered a 3 year deal so he took that.

I didn't think he was offered a contract from the club & that is why he took the hump

You can bet to * he's came begging for one since his beloved hearts aren't in any position to be signing him for a half decent wage now.


Guy was decent at first, * by the time he stopped playing 18 months ago.

Shouldn't be near the squad at all.

I get we may need to be more prudent over the next 6-12 months but honestly, I'd rather we went with bain and one of the young lads. Rather see a young lad * up and learn the game than Gordon throwing a tantrum and blaming everyone else because he hasn't been able to improve himself at all in the last 15 years now.

Surely, surely, if we can not get Forster back then the worst case is we take someone else on loan. Must be a half dozen keepers south of the border who will be needing first team game time and we can offer that at a decent enough level and at a European level.

This makes sense,what happens if we can't get FF we will be losing two keepers in one window,that would be utter madness.

 

Bain yes, but the others in goal going for the 10,i'm not sure fans would be so at ease with that.

 

Surely no way. We need a quality keeper, if we cant get FF, then we need to look some place else.
Bain is decent back up, that's it. One of the young guns is adequate to back up our quality first choice and Bain, just cannot see where Gordon will fit in.

I can see him being offered a deal. I know there is chat about Foster, and I'd love it to be true, but I don't see us parting with that sort of money until we are certain what is happening with next season.

None of the usual rules on signing or retaining players are going to apply until there is more certainty. Survival in a decent a shape as possible will be paramount. Any clubs not prioritising that will be unlikely to survive.
