Regardless of everything you say we can still probably get a better goalkeeper than him so we should instead of being sentimental, he's a liability.

 

I'm 40 and I saw Carl Muggleton for the few games he gladly lasted then Gordon Marshall who was just as bad. Comparing Gordon to other * keepers doesn't make him good, it just makes him less * that the * ones

 

It's pretty damning when you go back to comparing the likes of Douglas and Hedman to defend our goalie. Personally I think he's no better than what we had then.

Don't forget Jonathan Gould. Best of the bunch was Douglas and I'd still take Gordon over him. Point is, as a shot stopper, Gordon had a very good game tonight for a club with our budget.
Now as a goalkeeper overall he had a very bad game and I am also starting to think we need better; but let's not pretend that his saves tonight were just run of the mill. It doesn't strengthen your argument to deny that.

 

It’s no the first howler he’s made, and it won’t be the last.

 

After well over an hour of seeing that these chase down everything like a pack of f***ing wolves and he's trying to claim that he it caught him by surprise. All I can say is it's an embarrassing lack of tactical awareness if true.

 

You know, for a good 60 minutes he was everything I’ve slated him for not being as a Celtic keeper and he was the same against Leipzig.

Then he goes and does that.

 

* him! He is an absolute * liabilty and just about nearly cost us dearly tonight.

Think I counted ONE really good save, the other few were routine, despite how much of a meal he made of them.

As for THAT blunder? Just an absolute * disgrace, the kind of "mistake" that gets ye shot. I'd * gladly boot him right in his * gleekit face.

As for the resr of him, distribution was abysmal tonight. Lumping baws up to Edouard to knock on to * nocunt, hospital balls to Tierney almoat every time, and anybody wlse who the big gangly * punted at.

Get him to *, get Bain in for the rest of the season and get this stupid looking * to * once and for all.

Utter disgrace.

 

As a gk he's bad at everything except shot stopping and even that is dodgy game by game

Believe it or not, I almost agree with you. I'd say he made two really good saves; but apart from that I think you're spot on with everything you wrote.

Brilliant shot stopper .Every other aspect of his ability as a goalkeeper , is questionable.
