Craig Gordon

I think Scott Bain has all the atteibutes tbh, but he’s nowhere near the level of keeper I want yet.

Give him a year or two under Stevie Woods though

 

Gordon is a good goalie and Bain is a fantastic understudy, he will be our number 1 in the future. Domestically our goalkeepers are not in a game for the majority of it so need good concentration levels, they need to pull off a save when needed, Craig Gordon has done this on numerous occasions. If we improve the CBs in front of the goalkeepers we will leak less goals.

 

Im happy enough with our keepers.

 

But if we do one without the other we'll still have problems, as the goalkeeper and defence clearly work together. Gordon is a good shot stopper but that is about it. I don't feel he c
is commanding his area and I don't feel he is able to control a defence and help them at the top level.

He is OK for the league but we need to step up now.

Horrible. Hoofed it to no * all game. Usually the opposite goalie..

Get this * to * as well. Never once hit a Celtic player with a pass today. Infact I would bet he passed more times to the hun keeper than any of our players.

 

This. After Tuesday ld be happy to give Bain a go. Get Gordon to buck his ideas up a bit.

 

Gordon was the least of our worries today imo.

 

For game's where we aren't under the cosh and want to find a man...he should be in..

That was as bad as Gordon's been. Even when he was trying to release with his hands he was giving it away!.

Passed more to the hearts goalkeeper than anyone else today

 

Sign a couple of the Hearts defenders. They were bad enough to keep our strikers goalless

 

His fault for the second goal..

3 time's in succession he kept putting us bang in it playing it straight out..

Doesn't even try with his passing now..

Should be dropped indefinitely..

Despise the lanky useless *..

 

The least of our problems through this tie in my opinion. All 3 goals came down to atrocious defending. Gordon needed to make 1 or 2 saves over two legs. Kickings an issue and always will be, but it wasn't him who cost us.
