    Think it just came down to the fact it was so late in the window and we would be unable to get a replacement and I wouldn't have trusted De Vries with a treble on the line, but yeah if it had come in earlier on in January he would've been gone.

    * poor tonight.The organsation of the defence starts with the keeper too,just look at how good the holy goalie was at it.Surely must be younger better keepers at a reasonable price out there?

    Give DDV the time between the sticks until January. Gordon was shocking for some of those goals tonight. Defence wasn’t great but with a half decent keeper it wouldn’t of been 7. Overrated, said this for years, don’t know where people get the “he’s a shot stopper” from

    His mentality is weak and it spreads to the back four, and when we're up against decent opposition that affects the whole team.

    We've came up against better teams with worse defenders and came away with much better results because we had a strong character at the back like Boruc or Forster.

    A solid keeper who can command his back four and distribute the ball has to be our next signing. I would keep Gordon for the final on Sunday, but after that I wouldn't mind seeing De Vries get a run.
