Have we ever had such strength in depth in that position in the national side?

He should retire from Scotland duty, to stop him being included in any squads. Having spent years injured, he should save himself for Club games and be resting at International breaks instead of away training or playing and giving himself less rest. He could be a Celtic player for the next 10 years as number 1 for many then back up for many more, he should be aiming for that rather than wanting to get games for Scotland again.

Wasnt sure at first but looks like this might be a bit of magic from lawell - £10 million profit and getting to keep the same standard of goalkeeper, brilliant piece of business. Lets just hope he stays fit.

I've always preferred Gordon to McGregor. Nice to have so many choices unlike England.

Boruc, Forster, Gordon, we've had 3 excellent keepers in the last decade

The man, the legend. I do a wee cry when I remember him.

Not a cry in my pants.

It's still very early days, and I still worry his next game will be the one he gets injured again in, but when you consider how long it's been since he played competitive football his form so far has been remarkable. He doesn't look rusty at all.

I always thought he was the best keeper Scotland had in a long time when he was at the peak of his form.Given his injuries happened at a relatively young age for a keeper, there is every chance he will return to that standard of form.

    31......years left in him.

He was good last night only complaint id have is when he punched the ball straight to tavares but tavares blasted it over the bar if that happened in the group stage he wouldn't be as lucky

I hope he forces his way back in to the Scotland squad. It would work wonders for his confidence.

Gordon's a good keeper but seeing him in goal he looks tiny compared to Forster and nowhere near as good. :54:

Noticed Matt Gilks started on the bench for Burnley against Chelsea. If he's going to be a regular there then Gordon will be back in the Scotland squad in no time.
