Agreed mate, the team worked there nuts off and put their names into the history books, but even so we could still improve in areas.

He's definitely stronger than De Vries.

I'd want us to go for a younger keeper next summer or the summer after to challenge and replace him as number one.

His distribution recently has given me the fear.

De Vries not really had a proper run, but happy with Gordon regardless. He's definitely calmed down from last season with his mental goal keeping decisions.

I think CG is doing alright, should never have conceded at such a tight angle, but nevertheless i think he has vastly improved with regards to his distribution and also his composure, quite happy with him tbh.

Reminded me of the gladbach goal last year where he conceded at his near post. That post.

Conceded quite a fair few down his throat. Against England recently as well..

Good keeper who has massively improved his game but should deffo stand tall/make his self big in those instances instead of second guessing and going to ground a bit early..

Him just standing up would have saved that but would have shown poor technique. The very same for chamberlaines goal.

He's saved us way more than he's cost us imo and his distribution from the back in Trondheim (shocking in the 2nd half) and that goal yesterday were just rustiness. We'll be fine with him and i thought his distribution got markedly better through last season.

Gordon needs to learn when to play from the back and when to put his foot through the effin ball.

Gets it wrong all the time putting defenders under preassure. ..we'll lose goals this season because of his poor judgement.

As a shot stopper...he's fairly dependable.

    Interesting.

After the game and countless excellent performances. You're only two posts since then are to slate Gordon and Sinclair.

You must have felt sick watching us wipe the floor with them yesterday.

I was up north on hols and couldn't catch a stream but from what i've read we could have been out of the CL before the 2nd leg in Norway if it wasn't for him! Same last year in Israel and countless other times in Europe and at home. He's not faultless but what keeper is??

If we were to look to buy an established keeper better than gordon youd be talking 10m plus imo

It's beyond obvious this * at it. Not one we was great comments just taking a team that'll be top 6 by 4 goals to 1. Instead he just slates everyone. He is a * and it's high time the moderators banned the we *.

True. He's certainly not faultless and i have been a harsh critic of his in the past, but.....i've come to accept, for a freebie he's been a very good bit of business over the piece and genuinely improving his game in to his mid 30's..

Extremely nervous for these two CL ties with him in goals. I know there's nothing to be done now, he's definitely playing, just hope he has his head screwed on this time, unlike last year, or even last round. Must play it safe. His passing last round was absolutely woeful, play the easiest option with the least risk attached, or pump it upfield. None of this dinking it around the back nonsense.

We qualified for the groups last year with Gordon in goal in a weaker team.
He saved a pen en route.
He didn't play in the 7-0 Barca.
    His distribution has improved immensely.
My only concern is his decision making re when to leave the box. Hasn't happened this season yet but he at least twice creamed an attacker last year when leaving the box.
He's not allowed put his foot thru it, his instructions from Brendan are plainly obvious. Anyone a year into Brendan being in charge who can't see this either isn't paying attention or is on the wind up.
I have zero issue with him being our keeper. He has and continues to be excellent.
To get so publicly dropped as he did when Dorus arrived yet still at his age be willing to work to change his game to what Brendan wanted speaks volumes imo.
