    Yip.

I know he's playing in the Premiership, but he looks more than bang average. I'd much rather we scoured the continent anyways and got a good up and coming keeper from....say Germany or France or something.

Time to think to the future, and that's why I'd sell Gordon and go for a replacement. Rodgers obviously wants better all the time, and we can get better than Gordon (as good as he's been for us). He's 34, and out of contract sooner more than later, so yeah I'd cash in.

aye....if he does go though i don't think the old 'In Brendan we trust' will have had more meaning for me.

i take the points about remainder of contract and the fact that he's already being dumped once!!

Is more than 'bang average' good or bad? My Sky Sports isn't fluent.

    I'd sell him.

Have to be honest, for all he has definitely improved, I think he's the weakest link in the side and I personally believe Rodgers will be secretly hoping they come back with a higher bid and Gordon fancies the couple years of 35k a week.

It's no secret he wants a ball playing goalkeeper and that will never be Gordon despite his best efforts.

    I'll be honest...

If I was Gordon and had the chance to triple (I'm guessing) my wages, get a huge signing on fee and possibly be the first person to get an spfl and epl medal in the same year. I'd take it.

CRAIG GORDON is set for crunch talks over his Celtic future tomorrow, with Chelsea poised to make a second bid for the keeper.

Gordon is wanted by the Premier League giants as back-up for No1 Thibaut Courtois.

Antonio Conte saw the Blues’ initial £3million offer kicked out.

Parkhead chiefs made it clear to the Stamford Bridge club the 34-year-old Scotland keeper is NOT for sale.

But SunSport understands Gordon and his advisers have been intrigued by the surprise swoop and would be interested in at least talking to the London club if they up the ante.

And sources down south insist Chelsea chiefs are refusing to take no for an answer in their pursuit of Gordon.

Conte wants him as back-up for Belgian star Courtois, with current understudy Asmir Begovic on his way to Bournemouth in a £10m deal.

However Celts have knocked back their first approach as they are desperate to keep him.

Gordon has had to fight to establish himself as Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers’ No1 after losing his place to Dorus de Vries at the start of the season.

But he has 18 months to run on his contract at Parkhead and Celts don’t want to lose the former Hearts and Sunderland star.

Chelsea, though, are prepared to offer Gordon a big-money contract in a bid to lure him to London and are considering their next move.

Despite being told by Celtic their advances are not welcome, they are weighing up another offer.

With the transfer window in England closing at 11pm on Tuesday, time is running out for them to make their move.

It would mark a sensational career move for Gordon if a deal were to be struck.

The former Hearts youngster was facing up to the end of his career just two years ago after suffering a series of injuries during his time at Sunderland.

Gordon was out of the game for two years and trained with Old Firm rivals Rangers before joining Celts under their former manager Ronny Deila.

He then won the Scotland Player of the Year Award for his outstanding performances in his first season.

But Rodgers wasn’t convinced Gordon would be capable of adapting to his sweeper keeper style when he first took charge last summer.

That saw Dutch veteran De Vries signed as a possible replacement for Gordon.

It was only after a string of poor displays from him that Gordon regained his place.

Since then he has become one of the stars of Rodgers’ side, as he has nailed down his spot and helped the team on their way to a 26-game unbeaten domestic run, equalling the record set by the club’s famous Lisbon Lions.

Gordon’s original contract runs out at the end of this season, but the Hoops have the option of another year, which is a mere formality.

Now, though, the approach from Chelsea could give Celts a serious decision to make if the Premier League giants table a second big-money offer between now and next week’s transfer deadline.

Hull bid for Windass, Red Bull want McKay and Gordon wants to leave.

The tabloids don't even try and hide it anymore. Fat Traynor has them all on the end of his puppet strings.

I'll be really disappointed if we sell him now.

Every player can be replaced but what a signing Gordon has been. Excellent keeper. If they come in with a bid of 5 million, I'd sell.

If BR sells Gordon then sign Mathew Ryan. Stuck on the pine at Valencia and looking for game time again.

If he wants to leave then let him go. He should remember we where the club that got his career back on track, now suddenly when a big pay package comes in & he'd be lucky to even play in cup games at Chelsea, he could consider leaving. Obviously hoping it's all media talk & he actually wants to remain here.

I'd be disappointed but if you got 4 mill....

I like Gordon. Brilliant signing and great first season. Like a few he had a dodgy last year. But he's been excellent since getting his place back. His ball at feet technique has improved beyond belief.

Vorm would be a good signing. As would Matthew Ryan, although is he good with his feet.
We would win the league with me in goal so putting De Vries or Logan in doesn't bother me too much. A one off cup game away to Aberdeen or Hearts might concern me tho.

Bailly is good keeper too. Not sure exactly how good he is with his kicking distribution. Does he deserve a chance?

From Mikey on KDS (fairly reliable).

Brendan has a keeper in mind to replace Gordon.

If we get the right amount for Gordon it will be used on the replacement keeper.

In saying that we would be happy to hold onto Gordon and buy new keeper in summer.

Am starting to think he will be off, if he gets permission to speak to them. The money that will be on offer will blow away whatever we can pay. I just hope to * that BR has a replacement in mind and can get him in quick. Best scenario would be he stays and helps us get the treble and then leaves.

    Gordon goes to Chelsea.
    Begovic goes to Bournemouth.
    Brouc comes back home.

    Would you take it?

Contracted thru 2021 on big wages, Valencia don't sell cheaply either.
