I agree with you that it's harsh, but I still think he made absolutely no attempt to get it. Maybe it was just the pace of the cross.

Their goal could have been prevented by Izzy if he had been goal side and not been caught out by Tavernier, by Erik if he don't * ball away, and Lustig if he was tighter to Miller- anybody blaming Gordon or saying he should have done better is deluded

    Oozing with confidence.

Thought he was excellent. Very assured.

Yeah very confident game, loved the punch clearance he made when Tavernier? I think it was got in behind and put in a dangerous ball.

Only dodgy moment was when he was going to venture out of the box to clear a ball that 3 Celtic defenders were closer to. He's definitely been told to act more as a sweeper keeper. Looks like a good learner though as he's improved a lot with his ball control at his feet.

Who'd have thought we'd get a world-class keeper again by signing some Dutch guy from the English lower leagues?

Thought he played very well. Thought at the time he could've cut out the cross for the Huns goal.

However he handled everything else with ease. Two crucial interventions, the 1st was to clear the Tavenier cross just after they went one up. The 2nd was the save from the Wilson heider in the second half. Not only did he blocked the header, he managed to dig it away from danger.

Aye credit again where it is due, I wanted shot of him - still think we need better - but he was good yesterday. Has been for weeks now and his game has come on a lot under rodgers and since taking the gloves back from de vries.
Well done Gordon, been a solid perforner for us this season and has kept us in a fair few games.

CRAIG Gordon says the prospect of a short winter shutdown spurred on Celtic to continue their dominant domestic form during a gruelling festive fixture schedule – and he expects it to have another positive impact in the second half of the season.

From nine games in December, the Hoops achieved a perfect eight wins in the league and drew away to big-spending Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.

That impressive run of results maintained their unbeaten domestic record during the campaign going into 2017 and made it an enjoyable New Year for Brendan Rodgers and his players.

After relaxing for a few days, the Bhoys have now started their winter training camp in Dubai, with Gordon and his team-mates having their first full training session today (Sunday) in warm sunshine.

And the goalkeeper reckons the combination of rest and rigorous training at a top-class facility will stand the Hoops in good stead once they resume competitive action later this month.

Speaking exclusively to the official website, Gordon said: “It’s been hard work and it was good to have it (winter break) on the horizon as we could really give all our efforts towards it, especially in December with nine games.

“We gave everything we had in those games to try and stay unbeaten, knowing we had this to look forward to at the end of this month to recharge the batteries, get some good training under our belts and really look forward to the second half of the season.

“It helped to have this to aim for. We knew it was going to be a tough month with a lot of games and a lot of hard work but at the end of it we had the chance to come away here and get a bit of rest but also to refocus and look at our targets for the second part of the season.

“I came out to Dubai early with the family and had a nice break and everyone enjoyed it,” continued the 34-yea-rold. “The weather is always perfect and it was great to get away and have that week of relaxation.

"It gives your body a rest for a week or two. It was quite punishing, playing two or three game a week towards the end of December so having that rest lets your body calm down and get any little injuries or things you have been carrying sorted out.

“You come back with that freshness in the second half of the season and hopefully it will show in performances in that we don’t have dig out results which we had to do during December.

“We had a few one-nils and had to scrape a few results, but getting that freshness back in legs that we can take into the second half of the season and hopefully everyone will see a better team for it.

“We now have a week of training which will be needed after a week off. After not training for four or five days, you feel the need to get back out there and start again so I’m looking forward to a good week’s training.”

Celtic’s Craig Gordon is the latest goalkeeper to be linked with a possible move to Chelsea

There has been speculation over who the Blues might sign if second-choice keeper Asmir Begovic leaves Stamford Bridge.

The Telegraph say Chelsea have Gordon, 34, on a three-man shortlist along with AC MIlan’s Diego López and Galatasaray’s Uruguay international Fernando Muslera.

Chelsea goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon has recommended Gordon as a potential signing, the Telegraph say.

They can * right off TBH. At his age they'll not pay a big transfer fee and he's worth more to us.

I'd like to see Craig fit enough to play for the next three years. He has shown himself to be more than capable of keeping our goal and his experience will show greatly as I think he is now at the age where real goalkeepers come on to their top games.

No way he'd move from starting week-in, week-out with us to sitting at Chelsea and never getting a game. He's made Prem money in the past, and is probably still on £15-20k a week here, not too shabby at all. At his age, he's surely financially secure and looking to close out his career in style. Believe Rodgers has stated he wants to extend his deal as well, no way he'll leave now.

Based on his injury history, I think he'll want to play as much as possible. Don't think he'll leave.

BR of reported interest in Craig Gordon: "Heard something before the game. Not surprised."

BR: "It's a bit testament to him and the team, but Craig is very much a part of what I'm doing here.

BR: "He has really consolidated the game model we want to play, 34 & he can go on for a number of years yet & be pillar of the team."

BR: "He's in a good place. He knows this is a huge club & he's very much part of what we are trying to build here."
