He's a good keeper, that has never really been in doubt. Had an excellent first season with us.

Lost his way but got a kick up the * and has come out fighting. To adapt his game like he is doing at his age is testament to his commitment.

I'm delighted for him. Dunno why but I want to see him do well, he seems a good guy.

That save from Suarez's shot the other week was outstanding. World class.

He was taking the throw-ins almost at the halfway line :56:

I've noticed he's becoming much more confident with the ball at his feet.

A goalkeeper taking a throw in though jeez that is some wind up :56:

His distribution has always been shocking for me, even when he was playing well here.... But now his distribution is on a level I've never seen from him. Some lovely passes out from the back and playing much better overall..

The Brendan effect. Think it's catching on?

Think he was just * freezing and fancied a run when he took the throw in. Had the bare minimum to do in that first half

Thought he played very well today. Caught the ball a few times when it looked easy to spill it.

He's been solid this season, not punting balls into the stands much either or really ever now since he just passes it shorter.

I mind claiming at some point that he should never play for us again :fear::67:

Got down very well to his left at 2-0. Big man will have another 2-3 seasons with us. Looking trim as well.

CRAIG GORDON is poised to extend his stay at Celtic, with Brendan Rodgers insisting the veteran can follow the example of Dutch legend Edwin van der Saar by playing on until he’s 40.

The keeper who almost quit football completely during two years without a club, is under contract until the end of this season with a further one-year option on the deal.

The Scotland international, who turns 34 on Saturday, is desperately keen to stay with the champions who took a chance on him in the summer of 2014 despite his lengthy spell out with a serious knee injury.

Rodgers confirmed: “Craig is definitely one I want to keep.

“You see now a different goalkeeper to when I first came in. How sure, how calm he is – and there is another clean sheet he got last Saturday gainst Hamilton.

“He still has a lot of games in him. He’s 34 soon, but he’s a top goalkeeper who looks after his body, lives his life the right away.

“Guys like Edwin van der Saar go onto 40. He has a good few years left.

“I think his past injures could put years on to the end of his career.

“There are not so many miles on the clock. He is really enjoying this way of working.

“He is contributing to the team and he feels that, too, even when he doesn’t have lot to do.

“He can see how the top goalkeepers in the world function, the way they play football – and he’s been a really important player for us.”

Had a lot of doubts about the man this year... but Rodgers bringing in another keeper just to light a fire under his * has proved to be a success... Craigy has improved on literally every aspect of his game!

If he continues his form then there's no reason he can't stay for another season at least. I always feel he has a * up in him but can't fault his recent performances.

Unless we bring in a world class keeper there is no reason we wont keep him for years!
