That was never a red. Stewart and surprisingly Craigan, were bang on. Was pretty minimal contact, leg in and not outstretched and County player was never gonna be in a scoring position either..

Some of his saves were quality tonight..

 

Each to their own mate but I'd be screaming for a red if any player done that to one of ours. I think the same about the Alloa one.

The saving grace for us is refs get caught up in thinking is it a goalscoring opportunity etc. instead of is tacklimg above the waist reckless or not.

 

I think the Alloa one was a red, but in this one the contact wasn't anything like as dangerous

 

Don't think Gordon had any control about that though, kneed him on the upper back. Could have just as easily been his head.

Can't tackle with your knee at that height for me.

 

I agreed at the time that the Alloa one was stonewall, not tonight..

 

gordons feet were about 3 feet off the ground and he is lucky he didnt make full contact,as it was he got his knees into the guys side.....if someone did that to a celtic player i would want him sent off.

 

Regardless of the decision anyway, hearing Sutton bang onabout it for the next half hour was annoying as *

 

As much as he's funny at time's, he has an agenda against certain people...And he doesn't let it go..

 

He had a good game, despite his clumsy challenge.

 

yeah gordon is his new ronny. he doesnt like him he made that clear a few weeks ago and he will jump at every chance to prove himself right.

I think he's a great stop stopper, but his judgement is really poor. He comes rushing out too often for my liking.

 

Still need a number 1 for me. Happy to stick with Gordon until we get one (clearly De Vries wasn't what Rodgers thought he was) but I think a new goalie should be the biggest priority in the team tbh. A Boruc (at his best) or Forster type breeds some amount of confidence through the team and can literally win us points in Europe.

 

Players knee other players when jumping up for headers and you wouldn't say it's a red.

 

In that case they aren't generally launching themselves from 3 yards away to challenge with the knee. Knees not usually up.

 

Looks like he is pulling out if it best he can. If that was an out field player commiting the foul, I don't think as much would have been made of it. He should never have been going out for it though, so daft.
