Should never get beat at that angle. To be fair an inch to the left or right, up or down and that's saved. Perfect finish directly into the centre of his legs. Power made it too hard for Gordon to get his legs closed in time. He was too busy setting himself up for a big flying hero dive, and opened them up further.

I think Gordon is a decent goalkeeper. I actually rate him above Joe Hart. He is prone to big mistakes and is a darling of the English media. We would have lost by more to the Germans only for Gordon.

He has done well since he came back, but for me he's not the answer, he's lost a lot of goals you would be expecting your GK to save, Dorus isn't the answer either, in fact i don't think we've got a decent GK tbh.

Thought Kolo, Erik and Gordon were all culpable for that goal the other night.

I feel the same. Gordon is half the player he used to be and De Vries has looked * every time he's played.

Bailly deserves a proper shot he came with a decent enough reputation bar the odd game he's never had a chance

We all know what Gordon's good points & bad points are, he isn't good enough. I think it is crazy that after just a handful of games everybody has written De Vries off. I remember plenty of players that came here had a bad start but over came them, he should be given time.

I agree in principal, but how many goals would you let him cost us & in what competition?

Same as how many goals should Gordon be allowed to cost us at the near post?

I think he was also unlucky with some of the goals conceded, especially the one at Celtic park from the halfway line

Game would have been over before the 1st goal if it wasn't for him and Kolo! How anybody can blame him for the first goal is beyond me but each to their own.....i knew it would happen though!! As far as he was concerned Kolo was shielding/guiding ball out and next second one's drilled low by him....didn't even have a chance to set himself. He's being a whipping boy for a while now and it looks like that's never really going to go away now.

THIS @trackebhoy - I still would prefer DDV over Gordon as DDV went from a Forrest Team to CL and Old Firm games all in one go, needs time to bed in.

Up to him to prove it when he gets the chance. Until then, or until we sign a better goalie, Gordon should be number 1.

    Agreed.

Dorus has looked awful, almost like an * pulled from the stands at times. He has conceded a lot of goals in a short space of time and at least half of them looked like he should have done better.

Gordon has had some howlers but he has made some great saves and kept us in many a game.

We should be looking for better though DDV looks a backward step.

I think Gordon was a bit too comfortable of his in the squad at the start of the season and the signing of DDV has woken him up a bit. DDV doesn't look up to much so if we don't get European football after Christmas Gordon could stagnate a bit again.
