Should be doing better from an angle like that imo, although obviously the major mistake was Toure's/

I don't think the angle is as big a concern as some are making it. He gets caught off guard (as I think everyone watching was as well) by the mistake/great effort by Hahn, to get the ball out, then for Stindl to swoop in and crack the ball through Sviatchenko and past Gordon.

He's got barely any time to read where the ball will go and make the save, assuming it doesn't get blocked by Erik. Can't fault him for that IMO. His distribution was woeful again, but even if he was picking the wings off a fly it wouldn't have made a difference, which is why I don't fault him for todays lost.

Not placing too much blame on him, but from the replay he was watching and had positioned himself to make a save if needed and I think he could have done better. Was a good strike right enough.

It was some ping by the boy.

Gordon should maybe have been on his toes more.

Can see both sides. Good saves first half though.

    Can't blame him.

I actually think he's been playing well since he's come back in. Probably needed a rest.

Didn't think he was woeful. Compared to how he was playing before he was dropped, I'd say it was a good performance. Don't think febreeze would have saved that shot in the first half. Distribution is still poor, but before he was just kicking it out the park now he is attempting to find players.

Have sinced watched the highlights and thought he could have done a lot better for their first goal, to be honest. I know the situation shouldn't have happened had Toure done his job, but still feel Gordon could have done better.

    Don't blame him for either.

The first should have been dealt with by his defenders and when trying to spread yourself and being such a big * there was every chance of Strindl managing to sneak that in.

He made a few good saves first half as well.

Just seen the first goal again. We all know it was Toure's fault but come on to * if that was De Vries, everybody would be going mental. How the * if Gordon getting beat at his near post again & from that angle.

Don't get this I don't blame him stuff at all ??? The ball was hit straight at him he should have saved it and yes Torre should have put the ball out, and Eric should have reacted quicker that doesn't make Gordon less culpable for not doing his job.we need a new keeper

Gordon get's a free pass from most for some unknown reason. Get's beat at his near post for fun.

I'm his biggest critic but you cannot lay the blame at his door for that, he has to trust his centre half to do the right thing in the first instance and in the second the guy gave it a peach of a whack.

Of all his mistakes recently that doesn't even rank.

I half agree with you, it was toure's fault completely and it was a decent hit. But it was right at him and not the first time he has been beaten at the near post.
