    He didn't do much wrong.

He's still the first choice for me.

Made some good saves, slow off his line a good few times right enough.

Regardless we need someone with confidence between the sticks and it's Gordon's to lose now until January IMO.

    Looked good tonight.

Needs to work on communication a bit more and also be more decisive at coming out for the ball, but seems being dropped has given him a bit of a kick up the * and will hopefully spur him on to a run of good form.

The save that deflected off of Sviatchenko was outstanding.

Some excellent shot stopping tonight, if he wasn't playing we would have lost tonight. He has to be number one.

Needs to work on his distribution still, but shot stopping at times is incredible

No doubt in my opinion De Vries would have let in at least 2 more. the free kick low left and the last deflected save.

Hopefully DeVries proves some worth by being the drive going for Gordon to keep goal and prove he still has it and can be even better.

He is capable of pulling off some magnificent saves, it has been evident right throughout his time here, even when playing poorly.

Made 2 in both legs against Be'er Sheva (point blank header at home and pen away) and then the one at the death tonight was instinctive. I also feel his kicking is coming on every game.

He is number 1. No doubt.

Everything but his distribution, although towards the end some of his long-long balls were perfect. Made some fine saves tonight, looked a lot more focused.

Craig Gordon: I loved my Champions League debut - now I hope to keep my first-team jersey

CRAIG Gordon savoured his Champions League group stage debut - even though he had to fish the ball out of his net three times. The veteran made a fine late save to defy a deflected shot from Ilkay Gundogan as he finally graced Europe's premier club competition at the fourth time of asking and just weeks after it appeared that he had lost his first-team place to Dorus de Vries. The Scotland international reclaimed his jersey after De Vries sustained a chest injury and said last night that he hopes he has done enough to stay in the team

"There are not too many times that I have lost three goals in my career," said Gordon. "Having to score three goals to get the draw is not ideal but against a team like city that is pretty good.

"It was great to finally get a chance to play in the Champions League," he added. "It has been a long time coming and I thought I maybe wouldn't have got the chance a couple of weeks ago. I've been working as hard as I can in training to try to improve do the things I am expected to do, if I can do that and keep my standards as high as I have done the last three or four years then I will give myself a good chance to stay in the team.

"It was everything I thought it would be - from the moment you walk out, and that music starts. That is when you know it is for real. I wasn't nervous about today, I was excited to give it everything I've got. We were up against a top quality team and I knew I would have to make saves in the game. As it happened it was later on but I knew I would have to come up with something. Thankfully I came up with enough to help us get a point. We were hanging on a bit at the end but we put so much into the game that we were determined to take something from it.

"It was tough being out the team but I thought I was training pretty well, I still felt I was in good form even when Dorus was playing," he added. "I tried to put him under as much pressure as possible but we get on great and support each other when each other is playing. At the same time I wanted to make sure that the manger know that I hadn't given up the fight."

I've got a lot of egg on my face at the moment, but this below is at least one thing I did get right. What a save that one at the end was!

    Unbelievable save bud..

The power it was hit with, the deflection meant it had to be instinctive to keep it out.... And it was..

He's our no.1, was a dodgy moment when he missed a punch and went across the face of goal but let him off cause he made a couple of brilliant saves.

Still terrible with the ball at his feet, but his shot stopping was great. Definitely contributed to a huge result last night. I think he has now put a marker down and he is ahead of De Vries.

He had a couple miss kicks, but so did Claudio Bravo whose reowned for his on-ball ability. He had a solid alround game yesterday. I'm fine with a few poor kicks as long he keeps the ball outta the net and doesn't concede a cheap goal by flapping at a cross or getting beat at his near post.

I think getting dropped has done him the world of good, a little wake up call.

Last night showed glimpses of the keeper he can be, like in his first season.
