Against Inverness in the Cup. Red Card. Done for us.
Headed clearance was it Astana ?
Ref tonight was Alan Muir, same guy that missed Meekings hand ball in Cup Semi..
Very lucky. Think if Gordon had walked tonight his Celtic career would have been over.

He did well tonight made some comfortable saves alright the tackle was bad but if were judging him on shot stopping he passed the test

Gordon will probably have to play against City.
If Lustig and Tierney remain the full backs we will be more compact at the back.Jozo, Toure and Sviatchenko could all be shoehorned into a 4-5-1 not a 5-4-1.
Midfield looks stronger with Bitton out and if we can get Griffiths fit then even better.

Yes he will come back strong I'm sure.

I think it's almost like he is aware that Rodgers wants this fancy sweeper keeper and he is trying to get more involved and impress, whereas he just used to clear things when in doubt.

He had one save to mate, the shot from 20 odd yards out which he could have caught easy, but nope he panicks and doesn't even make sure the ball goes safe.

Tackle was borne out of him trying too hard to make an impression, poor judgment from him. Also you could just tell he wanted to put his foot through some back passes but had Rodgers sweeper keeper mantra in the back of his mind & he just made wayward passes to teammates instead. His hands are a lot cleaner than De Vries though & of the 2 he would be my pick.

A lot of uncertainty in that position right now & neither keeper has covered themselves in glory. Worrying position for us & not really something you want in a Champs League group like ours.

I think he certainly cemented his place (on the bench). Had * all to do and still managed to nearly get sent off. DVD hasnt impressed too much either.
Throw big O'Connell in goals, i'm sure he has played Gaelic football and his uncle is a cracking rugby player, couldnt be much worse than what we have, and he's good with his feet. :icon_mrgreen:

When did Gordon start being viewed as *? He was our best player in Ronnie's first season.

He'd still be my first choice.

    Ronny's second season.

And he wasn't better than Van Dijk. That's nonsense.

Used to wind me up something awful when people would say Denayer was as good as/better than Virgil. :smiley-laughing002:

Dodgy, but better at shot stopping than de Vries.
