If he was more commanding and aware of his area then maybe goal prevented. In any case there was a lack of communication there.
Thought his kicking wasnt too bad last night, when its usually not too great.

A rest on the bench can only do him good. I like the big guy but he is no Fraser Foster. Very inconsistent at the moment and becoming more prone to howlers like last night as time goes on... countless times it has happened now in Europe. If De Vries takes his chance when he eventually comes in then Craig may find it hard to get back in this season.

I thought the weak header from outside the penalty spot was actually very poor goalkeeping, you can see that he had it covered but misjudged the bounce of the ball and it went under his arm. Tierney on the other hand should have been ready to blooter it with his right foot but instead chose a half hearted attempt at a shoulder or hand ball.

On the cross, he should have came for the ball a lot quicker last night but Tierney shouldn't of let the ball get floated in so easily in the first place, it was Janko's fault for being caught out of position yet again and charging into him... what the * did he actually think he was doing!

I honestly can't believe Gordon trying to throw janko under the bus even if he did think that it was a lousy move, that interview with Brown talking about how brilliant he was ,was embarrassing .Gordon should have been out and caught the ball before it bounced ,caught the ball on his chest instead of out in front of him then got both arms around the ball and held onto it like his life depended on it. janko had to get across his man.a calamity keeper if ever there was one surely that mistake coupled with last weeks schoolboy error is evidence enough that we need better

Whats this * about "his blindside"? The ball and Janko were right in front of him ffs. Gordon is an awful keeper and has been for quite a while. Right enough, maybe he has a few blindsides.

Consider if that had been a Hapoel player rather than Janko - result? Same.
Yes, Janko contributed significantly because he was OUR player.
But no way Gordon should have been out-muscled by anyone and ought to have had better grasp on the ball. Then he would have been fully entitled to give Janko the rocket he deserved.
I think both Gordon's post-game interviews recently (the one where he headed the ball and was chipped) both are extremely defensive and 'it wisnae me' attitude - I think he already knows he's losing the jersey sooner than later.

I can't help but remember the Hearts game at CP when he literally threw the ball into the back of the net!

The error was bad enough without blaming it on your 20 year old team mate on live TV when you're supposed to be a senior pro.

He's making it hard to defend him. Hes making it hard to reason making him number one.

DDV must be a shoe in to start for us soon.

Gordons done now. He seems to have aged 10 years in the last 6 months or so. Kicking from hand is woeful, on the ground is not much better. Is weak at crosses and doesnt command. His shotstopping is still exceptional and has terrific reflexes. Just seems his injuries have caught up with him. Has been inspirational for us since he came in but he is making too many basic errors and shipping goals that a while back was keeping out.

Janko was just as much to blame as Gordon was. He actually raised his arm to the ball to make contact with it.

    Pair of * dobbers!

He was amazing at the Mestalla as well against Valencia the year before or after. They beat us on penalties at Celtic Park but the tie would've been out of sight had it not been for him.

Agree to disagree. I think Janko was garbage so I'm not defending one player over the other for the sake of it. The keeper has to be stronger. He never got his body behind the ball and he's dropped it.

That goal was 100% Gordon's fault. He's the goalkeeper, it's his area and he should be commanding it even if it means flattening a team mate to get to the ball. He's a shitebag.

Now the good news. Each campaign our team seems to be the only one to make a right * up of one thing. Chas pass back into the goal, now janko punching the ball out his own keepers hands basically into the net... does that mean we've had our one campaign * up? Hope so.

He played out his skin that season, too often overlooked in amongst the greats.
