Much more of a complete goalkeeper than Forster, but that's to be expected given the age gap. I certainly think having a goalie that controls his box like Gordon seems to takes a lot of pressure off of the defense, Fraser also forced himself in to having to make a lot of great saves that he wouldn't have had to if he had just came off his line.

He must have worked on that during his two year holiday - never used to be that commanding.

The header back to van Dijk was just class :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::50:

What about when he came running out like Neuer for no reason though when Van Dijk was comfortable on the ball, canny be making mad errors like that in the CL.

Really chuffed for him. A clean sheet is a nice way to start his Celtic career. Nice to see him back playing again.

The only thing we have to worry about is his career threatening injury, if we are lucky and he has a good run with no repeat injury, it will be the signing of the decade...:50:

Aye, was saying that during the game it would be good if we went 3/4/5 League games without conceding, so people would be talking about the clean sheets and the more praise and that he gets the more confident and back to his best he'd feel.

Good to see him get an early save in he looked far more confident after that.

Very good start for him tonight. Have no qualms with him as our main goalkeeper in the CL now.

Great start. If he can keep injuries at bay then it could be a brilliant piece of business from us.

It is clear to see that Craig is back too his sharp best, i said this last week. Some folk were going ballistic over the sale of Forster which i found astonishing considering we got 10 mil - Newcastles take. now i dont feel scared or anxious when someone decides to pass the ball back to the keeper Craig Gordon is one of the best keepers ive seen at kicking the ball out to retain possession. One major flaw in Fraser's game was kicking the ball out in any situation. If Gordon can stay fit, seriously, we've won a watch. :celt_2:

Very impressed with Craig tonight, really hope he can stay injury free though. He surprised me with the speed that he came off his line, he is rapid! Reminded me of Neuer in the World Cup! :50:

He was mostly solid although wasn't under too much pressure. He did look a bit nervy at times but he'll get better with games.

Zaluska is a capable stand in if he does get injured anyway.
