I thought that he came across like a bit of a tool..

On one hand seemed to blame lack of luck and/or oportunity and then on the other seemed to gloat about going on the sesh when he shouldnt have. Cant really have it both ways.

SCOTT McDONALD has called out Craig Beattie over his Helicopter Sunday nightclub story.

The former Celtic striker told on Si Ferry's Open Goal how he bumped into the ex-Motherwell striker after his double handed the league title to Rangers back in 2005.

Martin O'Neill's men were 1-0 up at Fir Park before Skippy's late double on a dramatic final day of the season.

Beattie and Co went out that night in Glasgow's Merchant City to drown their sorrows and he admits his memory from that night was a little blurry.

And McDonald has echoed that by hitting out over the accuracy of his story.

Beattie told Si Ferry: "We went out after it. Had a few beers. I can't really remember much after it.

"I got home and the wife said to me 'What happened last night?'
"I think we were at Arta down at the Merchant City.

She said again, "What happened last night? Someone came over to talk to you. Wee guy, big teeth, dark hair and a funny accent.

"You turned around and said 'you've got two seconds to get out of my face before I punch your head in. That's really unlike you what happened?'

I said: "F***, That was Scott McDonald.

"I've played a lot of football with Oz recently like the six a-sides and I've never mentioned it to him.

She (my wife) was out with us as we had a party planned. We were going to win the league.

"I think we still went to just drown our sorrows. The couples and whatever were out.

She said to me the next day, 'Hop it wee man I'm going to leather you. I can't remember saying it'.

"They big glaring white teeth in my face. You just caused me a league winning bonus and a medal. Hop it wee man.'

First thing on his mind from that day was losing his bonus.

That Maurice Ross came across as the biggest bell end imo.

Edit: Beattie is up there with him now I’ve watched it.

Can't see why everyone is hating on 'Beats'. Don't u know he:

    - Won 11 medals.

    - Saved a man's life.

    - Got released from the huns even though he was their best youth player.

    - Gave unfortunate & lesser players than him a platform to win the only medal of their career when at hearts & even had the self control to not drink afterwards so he could soak up the gift he had given them.

    - Is an absolute 'hero' in Edinburgh. They absolutely 'love' him apparantley despite only playing 9 games.

    - Was faster than Bellamy.

    - Was a better player than Zurawski & JVOH.

-Was top goalscorer in the country yet was dropped for the inferior Hartson.

    - Never, ever, ever gets nervous ever. In his own words he was 'the coolest man in the stadium' when stepping up to hit that pen against us.

    - Won 11 medals.

    - Is a clairvoyant. Predicted when he was on the bench during the semi against us that hearts would get a pen and he would score it.

    - Knew '1000000%' he would come on in the cup final despite being grossly unfit and not promised game time prior to the game.

    - Was visited by an apparition of Scott McDonald who he told to * off or he would skelp him. Hero.

    - Was disgracefully prevented from selling his own merchandise at the hibs cup final.

    - Won 11 medals.

    - Was shockingly not signed or not played at several clubs despite being 'frightening' in training on at least 3 occasions.

    - Gave the grateful Si Ferry at least 2 amazing and not mind numbing at all 'exclusives' in their open goal interview.

His list of achievements and greatness go on but I'll leave it there. Show him some love eh.

    - Swansea's RECORD signing

    - Got fined 10 grand (hahahah, I'm Craig Beattie and I can laugh at losing 10 grand because I've got so much money. Also my promotion bonus for getting into the Prem was huge).

    - He also got the whole Hearts team's life back on the straight and narrow after scoring that goal. If it wasn't for him they would have spiralled into a world of debt and depression.

Agree 100%, shouldn't have been anywhere near the hoops. Not just a bitter hun but a big clumsy useless goon of a player.

Just watched it. He’s an absolute *. His level of delusion makes me think of Cartman from South Park.
