I heard on BBC down here that the headgear was dropped on a couple of doctors advise.
They are supposed to have said that there is a higher risk of brain damage with the headgear than without although there is still a risk.

Was quite sceptical and still am about hosting the Commonwealth Games, I don't doubt we have the ability(Scotrail aside) and the venues to do so. Spoke to people from Australia,New Zealand,Malaysia and a whole host of countries, they have been positive in the majority. I just get a bit annoyed when they talk about a sporting legacy?? I feel these sporting events are business driven and the sport takes secondary standing.

What are they doing to help create this sporting legacy???

Anyway, I work at at one of the venues and it's be great to see loads of family and young kids in attendance. Spoke to an Australian couple who were less than enamoured with the Rugby 7's venue. Describing it as "old and decrepit"

BBC will need to sub-title that interview. The wee man was buzzing and had a cracking fight.
