    Hot on the heels of the recent Sci-fi Rankdown, with the vast array of other films fitting that criteria, it seemed somewhat appropriate to try to reduce some of the numbers by not inclusing comic book movies, even though a large portion of which would fit in that genre.

    So here we are.

    Time to get all super-hero! All the graphic novels given the big screen adaptation! From mutants and demi-gods to adventures on alien worlds, time to bring them all! So let your MCU freak flag fly if that is what floats your boat. X-Men and Watchmen. Or DCEU. Or anything else for that matter that originated as artwork on a page.

    Bring it on!

    Call this Sci Fi Part II, but this time it's gonna be Super! :84:

    So between now and Sunday nominate all your favourite tales of super powers, comic book heroes and villians.

    Then once nominations are closed, as per usual we will be moving to the voting phase next week.

    But for now, get your nimonations in, to make sure that all your favourites are included.

    Please note, as some of these films will have the same/similiar titles, please specify when nominating what film it is (by year or cast for example)

    @Marty McFly sorry Teenwolf originated as a movie, not the other way around. Strictly speaking, Unbreakable and Split are likewise originally movies, that do pay homage to comic book/comic book storytelling & art desig. Will accept those, for that reason, but sorry, not Teenwolf.

    @Fontaine as far as I'm aware, Alien & it's sequels all started life as movies first but then were released as graphic novels after the film's release, so no, sorry. Star Wars etc is the same, where it inspired all number of comic books and graphic novels etc, but the original 1977 film was the catalyst and inspiration for these.

    Films such as Sin City, V For Vendetta, Watchmen etc are examples of films that started life as graphiv novels and were well previously established before they were made into films. Same as Manga originals such as Akira, Battle Angel Alita, Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scrolls etc were all originally published before being made into films etc.
