i have heard some really bad things about this guy.

he is hated in holland and rated as *-poor and another * who disrupts the dressing room, which is the last thing we need.

Im guessing this is going to be a ciftiX2. hope for roberts though, he seems descent.

I really don't get this guys career to be honest. He's a striker with a * poor strike rate and bad reports about his attitude, yet he's has been at some decent clubs like Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, Olympiacos and Feyenoord, played in the semi final of Euro 2008 for Turkey and scored in a Champions League quarter final. There must be something about his game that gets him to places like that.

It's because at all of those clubs he was a winger/attacking midfielder type.

I think it's only latterly he has been transformed into a big physical target man type.

I'd like to see him out left in a 'Samaras' type role. In Europe, at least.

Big physical * who will bully the full back. His technique is actually decent as well from what I have seen. He didn't strike me as a natural centre forward though, finishing was really inconsistent.

He's with Players United Management. Same agent company that Pierre was involved with, also the same as the boy Rodney Sneijder is with who wangled himself moves on the basis he his brother was a good player! Also the lad Amrabat who is at Watford, these PUM guys seem to jump about between the Dutch and Turkish leagues.

We've been missing a Samaras type player right enough so hopefully he can fill that void when required.

Not really impressed with that signing. He strikes me as a has-been. However, I'm willing to give him a chance and prove me wrong.

Nice to read on paper, but 11 goals is not really impressive considering the league and team.

The guy is an ultimately frustrating player, who does stupid things and loses possession. He is a bit of a Samaras in that respect. But let's be honest here, we're * crap. He'll be more productive than any of our wide men.

He'd be a woeful signing for any good team. If he rocked up at Villareal, Fiorentina etc, He'd have them tearing their hair out, but here, he'll likely become a cult hero. Such is the low level of expectation and talent.

I think he'll contribute enough to be considered a decent signing.

Like Mr Monaghan pointed out he's been a winger for most of his career. I had a look on YouTube and in his Fenerbahce days he always seems to be out wide right.

53 in 366 for clubs. Standout season at Fenerbache when he hit 2 in 42 :smiley-laughing002:

    2 in 37 for Turkey

He'll come good though! Bang a few in! Have faith!
