Not a big fan of this signing but he's probably better than Ciftci and Cole so * it

IF we was playing him up front with griff then fair enough it would help our goal getter having a * style player up front helping cause trouble.
BUT up there on his own....can't see this being anything more than a new ronny * of a signing.

Don't know * all about him, his stats are pretty poor, but who knows. Hope it works out. Seems to be the suggestion that he ain't a main striker? So worrying we've got Griffiths and Cole as back up. That's absolutely unforgivable

He's the type of striker Ronny likes for his system but Griffiths is untouchable. We must play 2 up top

    Have to agree.

This can go one way or the other, and I fear "the other" :54:

Hes the type of player that could actually work in the 4321 formation, along with Roberts.

    Agree mate this is imperative.

Unfortunately i have a feeling we will get the usual spiel about him needing time to train and get up to pace and get used to the Ronny philosophy.

"To tell the truth I didn't really want to come back to Britain". Well that's encouraging to know. Better no turn out to be another Scepovic.

Interesting train of thought in this thread and I agree. Not going two up top finished Ciftci before he even got started. Bedding a new striker in with a partner takes a lot of pressure off to be honest. Not against this signing in theory as he's a big bruiser, cant say ive seen him play much though so as ever am skeptical. Between him Cifcti and Cole we could have had Gudetti. I hat how we go about our business ya know.

If you listened to the full interview instead of picking bits out, you'd see how delighted he was to be here..

He instantly followed that with a lot of gushing about how he had no choice because Celtic are such a massive club and he couldn't say no. Cut the guy some slack :56:

Anyway just watched his interview and I was quite impressed. I'm looking for the positives with this one. It's hard to imagine that he will be worse back up than Cole or Ciftci and he brings a lot of experience and confidence to the team.

Ah come on mate, he essentially said that Celtic were the only club he'd come back to Britain for. That's hardly a bad thing.....

As people have said, you've just ignored the rest of his interview.

I have no agenda. If you take the time to look back you'll see that I was one of the few people on here yesterday who was trying to be positive about his arrival. So shove yer 'agenda' up yer jacksie.

Of course he went on afterwards to go on about how great Celtic are and how he wouldn't have come back if it hadn't been us. A load of flannel that all players say when they sign for a new club. Scepovic made out he was happy to be here when he first arrived, it was patently obvious he'd rather have been in Spain.

I just hope now this guy is here he will make peace with the fact he is back in Britain and that he'll put a shift in for us. His track record when it comes to sticking around at a club doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Comparing him to a * who stood us up in an airport and tried to sign for someone else, only for it to fall through and then us having to watch his grovelling excuses in his press conference blaming his missus ..

    Carbon copy this one
