Watched some of his early play at Fenerbache and you can see the abundance of quality. Scored all different kinda goals for Feyenoord as well and looked decent in the clips I watched, coming in from wide positions and getting on the end of thing's. Strong guy, watch a couple of his goals in the box and see how he absolutely beast's the defender's..

Can't wait until he bursts Paterson and Logan. You get the feeling defender's will be worried about him, not just quality wise but of the roughing up......which is a good thing..

Hope he starts Wednesday, after watching recent stuff of him I'm more excited..

Reckon a big over reaction on here about the guy. Both personally and ability.
Seems to have fair few things we lack, confidence, belief, strength, work rate for starters. Decent European experience - leagues, big teams, European tourneys and internationally.
So many wrote off other players and proven wrong, players like Bitton, Griffiths, rogic in current side and samaras goin back a couple of years labelled useless by so many but was by far our most potent threat in Europe at the time. Let's see how he does.

He's probably better than the majority of our offensive players (excluding Griffiths) in reality :smiley-laughing002:

Time will tell but you kinda get that feeling that some are clouding there judgement because of his attitude and a load have jumped on the bandwagon..

Experience is something we're lacking, he's got that. He's still a really good age. Still looks to have decent pace and if anything his goal return was going up the way. Bit of the unkown, a unit, a bully, and an arrogance and swagger about him. The odd flicks and looks to get right beyond, which will be music to Griffs ears..

I see a lot slagging his record, would he be worse on the left than anything we've got, Armstrong? An abysmal striker of the ball. I lay money who'll score more from that role..

To say I'm sceptical is an understatement.

However now he is here I will back him. He has been around and has never really settled, hopefully he can kick on here and at least contribute something.

I still don't think he's a striker, certainly not out and out. I'm actually leaning towards the idea of him on the left in a Samaras type role, certainly in Europe. Has plenty of experience as a winger even if he lacks the pace he had 10 year ago.

He talks a good game but I mean plenty before him have and many more after will. The fact the whole of Holland was virtually waving him off at the airport doesn't fill me with confidence either. I think I'm desperately trying to convince myself he might come good even though he hasn't shown anything really to suggest that elsewhere throughout his career.

To use a familiar phrase..."He's our * now". Zero expectations here so I'm ready to be surprised....or proved right.

his public air of confidence/arrogance is actually a sign of some one who has utmost belief and that can be a real good and uplifting thing to a team like dicanio was for us back when

the teams and leagues he has played in tell you something about the class he might have or had

if we can keep him from losing it he might turn out to be something decent, we neeed something decent offensively

Not a fan of this signing, but I dont wanna go into it against the guy. He says he wants to show the fans that he's a player who can play under pressure. We need players that can do that, as evident in the big games we've played this season where we have consistently shrunk under pressure. Lets give him a shot! Hope he does well!

there is a player in there somewhere, more of a winger though?
leigh had a bad attitude before he signed here so Kazim might change aswell, got a hunch he will do well and he seems passionate in his interview. i will back him 100% while he is a celtic player
