Colin Kazim-Richards has made his loan move from Bursaspor to Feyenoord a permanent one.
Feyenoord have secured the permanent transfer of Colin Kazim-Richards after a successful loan spell from Bursaspor.
The forward moved to the Eredivisie club on a temporary basis at the start of this season and has scored 11 league goals in 25 appearances since then.
Kazim-Richards' form has prompted the club to secure his services on a two-year deal and technical director Martin van Geel is full of praise for the former Galatasaray and Blackburn Rovers man.
"He has proven this season both on and off the field to have value for Feyenoord," Van Geel said.
"Colin is physically strong, has a huge winning mentality and adds a lot of experience to our selection.
"Moreover, we have the confidence that his scoring ability next season will only increase, with Colin now becoming more familiar with our way of playing."

I'm really curious about this guy. He's going to be really good or really bad. Either way I doubt it's going to be dull. I could see him coming off the bench on Wednesday and either scoring the winner or getting sent off. :smiley-laughing002:

Underwhelmed by this signing, no better than 'lump o Cole' or 'Slow doon tae a fight ye Cifti'. Would much rather have taken the Michael fae Them to play up front wi Griff. :38:

Well thank * no * listened to you, considering O'Hallarhun is a winger.

I have the same feeling but there's no logical reason why.

By all accounts he's a hard working physical striker, think he will have a good impact going into next season but his attitude issues will come through eventually I feel unless Ronny really gets through to him.
Still disappointing though after being linked with so many promising players.

Decidedly underwhelmed by this news. I welcome anyone to Celtic and wish him all the best, but I must admit, I fear the worst.

"Kazim-Richards European competition experience: 33 games, 5 goals, 6 assists.

Scored in UEFA CL quarter-final against Chelsea in 2008."

    "Kazim-Richards in Europe:

UEFA CL (inc qualifiers) - 19 games, 2 goals, 1 assist.
UEFA EL (inc qualifiers) - 14 games, 3 goals, 5 assists."

"Colin Kazim-Richards scored for Feyenoord in last seasons Europa League against Roma in Rome to make the match 1-1, in the round of last 32."

I think I would be concerned if we played him out of position. Especially if it was taking a midfielders place. But if he his just a replacement for Ciftci then maybe he's going to play him the exact same way. It's just his stats don't suggest a 1 up front goal machine. which would be a little bit too much a replacement.

I guess who could have him on the bench. He could come on as a sub, either 2 up front or just himself. I just think Ronny will feel heavy duty pressure if we lose so it's not usually the time to bring new players into the team.

Ronny is quite single minded though so he probably isn't concerned about the reaction to a result.

He might just think he's going to hear up the SPL and fire him in straight away. I imagine the Dutch league is of a higher standard.
